Mainly stocks, government bonds and real estate. The allocation to each should depend on your risk tolerance. Most of my money is in stocks as I won't need the money for years to come. Government bonds are unlikely to outperform stocks over 10 years+. I also have some crypto but only a couple %.

This. I have no wife/gf/children, and a pretty well paying job. I know I could be making a lot more if I spent the time, but generally I just toss it into the stock market and hope for the best. Just bought a 30k car, which is probably more than I should have spent, but I'm enjoy it. I don't generally splurge on stuff, nor have expensive hobbies, so the money just builds.

In theory options and stocks have the same risk adjusted return. It's a matter of leverage. If you don't know what you're doing or you're overpaying for options then just go with stocks.

I live in Finland where you can literally buy 200 ha of forest for 50k

Spend it over the next 10 years as I neet around south east asia, Eastern Europe, and South America while I figure out how to make money somehow. Will likely stop using principal within 6 months anyway but it’s a nice safety net.
