i need your advices anons. i feel just, i m lost in the jungle.
what is the right move for my career, life and future.
Have you considered the way you seek employment differs in the US than in EE?

You live in Eastern Europe and have 500 k saved up in your early 30s?
Who did you murder for that money?
Nolan Richardson
500k savings in Eastern Europe You could retire, build a house, buy 4-4 rental apartments, while swimming in pussy non stop. Weak larp

Depends on what you can afford. Some westerners come here expecting US-style buildings in the ghettos and luxurious life for $500/month, eating out at places for $2 - then they complain about commieblocks and food poisoning. With $2500/month you can live in a gated community in the mountains, 10 minute drive from the city centre. Another $1000/month can hire you a driver and a personal chef. The Baltics are getting more and more expensive, Lithuania is only slightly better than Estonia atm. Apart from the weather it's better than Bulgaria, but most Ameribrahs will probably prefer 40C in the summer on the beach and nice mountains for skiing in the winter, and Balkan counties are just better at providing this combo.
Eastern Europe and 500k saved? You are part of the 0.1% in eastern Europe. What was your real job?
Please don't kill me for asking.
Chase Rogers
Bro your job search is way easier as a ME than a lot of folks. You can even get a shitty government job for like $40k no problem.
David Fisher
I have close to that in Poland and honestly it is not A.D. much as you mamy think. A House somewhere nice costs at about 250k and a nice flat about 150 - 200k. Cost of living is a little bit cheaper than Western Europe. You feel rich but you’re really just middle-class. The problem is that being middle class in EE is considered rich here and unless you’re in nice areas of a handful of developed cities you’re surrounded by envious poors.
Easton Cook

I'm from Germany and I know not one single engineer who has managed to save up half a fucking million in his early 30s. Most people are lucky to have managed to save up 150k by the time they hit 30. 500k is unheard of.
This doesn't even make any sense that you claim to be from EE, having worked there, be a wage cuck and having saved half a million. Pure larp.
Levi Perez
Half the engineers I know in Bulgaria have AT MINIMUM 200-300k saved up in their late 20s. 500k in their early 30s is pretty much expected. Not to mention that 20-30% of the Scrypt hash rate in 2012-2013 came from here (more than 2000 gpu-s just between my closest friends). HODL-ers got rewarded. The myth that Germans have it easier is going away. In the age of the internet being taxed less is more important than the state of your country. Of course, once you accumulate 2-5 mil, Germany is a significantly better place to live in than Bulgaria, but Eastern Europe has better class mobility, whereas in Germany if you're born a wagecuck, you'll be taxed down every time you try to jump the social hierarchy.
Forgot to mention. >t. Lived in Germany and Bulgaria 40k eur/year salary in Beriln in 2014, barely survived, while living in a 15sq.m apt in Neukolln between the turks and sketchy individuals 70k eur/year salary in Munich in 2015 - much better, but still only around 3k eur a month net. Giving 1k for rent and another 1k to live, I couldn't really live well either. Returned to Bulgaria... 2017 - 50k eur/year salary + 15k in bonuses. Net 43k/year from salary alone, spent 4k/year sharing a luxury apt with gf. Ate out every night and still saved up around 30k/year from salary and 10k from bonuses. Invested in VTSAX through a local company and also bought BTC when Mike Hearn quit the project and it crashed. Also bought ETH at $40.

Bittrex new exchange and free coins.
In July 2017, Binance created it's own Token Binance Coin (BNB). Before they launched their exchange they did a sign up and referral programme where they gave out 1000's of token to people. Today those tokens are trading at over $10 each.
In April this year, Bittrex is opening a new exchange specifically aimed at the Asian market, called Bitsdaq, registered in Hong Kong. They are also doing a candy programme where you can get 1000's of their BXBC tokens for free.
You will receive 1000 tokens just for signing up using the link below.
Then there is a 200 token DAILY reward for just login until 31st of March 2019. So if you sign in everyday of March you can get yourself another 6200 free BXBC Tokens.
You will get a referral code. If anyone signs up using your code then they will receive 1000 tokens and you will receive 500 BXBC per person.
If you do your KYC then you get another 5000 tokens.
This is all totally free money. It's possible to accumulate over 20000 free tokens by the end of March. Even if they are trading as low as $0.50 by the end of the year, that amounts to $10K. Imagine they are trading at half the value of BNB at the moment
Don't delay, register TODAY. Each day you wait will cost you a minimum of 200 tokens. The exchange itself looks very professional and smooth. Nothing less than you would expect from a professional company like Bittrex,.
Nathaniel Jenkins
Started as .NET but you need to be full-stack nowadays - new javascript, react, 2-3 types of NoSql and good relational DB knowledge are a must. I've never had a facebook profile, and the guy I bought my GPU-s from in 2013 (he had a farm with 1000+) doesn't either... FB fags are stupid attention whores and larpers for the most part. And poorfags bragging about making 50k bgn in 2017...

>t. faggot who lives in a commieblock You were born in a tax haven and yet you spend your best years whining about no gibs. You deserve to be poor, unlike pretty much any non-pussy software dev in your country
>implying I am not a software dev >implying Sofia is a good place to live >implying you have an idea what you're talking about
just fuck off already
Brayden Rogers
I guess you're one of those faggots who when asked "what pay do you expect" just hunches, looks at his shoes and says "whatever the market rate is". I've interviewed dozens of faggots like you but devs with a pair are on their way to become millionaires by their 40-s (unless they get lucky beforehand, BTC served us good). Which of my advice is wrong faggot? I've done technical interviews for 3 different companies in Sofia, also did the HR interviews in Luxoft once the entire HR team left, kek. What makes you think there's anything wrong with what I said?
>becoming a millionaire in an over-saturated market ok.jpeg
You have been literally interviewing ex-cab drivers who took a course at Softuni and now think they're some hotsauce.
All of the devs in their 40s I know are already burnt out as fuck and don't wanna fucking do this job anymore. How delusional are you really? Some foreign fag who thinks know better than me and I lived here for 30 years.
And just for the record I run my own business and company but I don't brag and claim that Bulgaria is a nice place to live because it isn't. Faggot...
You only have 500k at 30? I'm 24 and I have 650k...
Bentley Edwards
SoftUni drones should be thrown from Shipka.
David Phillips
> You have been literally interviewing ex-cab drivers who took a course at Softuni and now think they're some hotsauce. I've mostly interviewed retards, not gonna deny the obvious. Every tech interviewer has had to go through the same bullshit. >All of the devs in their 40s I know are already burnt out as fuck and don't wanna fucking do this job anymore. Sure, which is why middle management exists. Your average middle manager (with basic negotiation skills) in Luxoft/Epam/VMWare/Leanplum nets more than 10k bgn/month, most have time for side projects and small businesses, too. > How delusional are you really? Some foreign fag who thinks know better than me and I lived here for 30 years. No, just the rare breed of Bulgarian who doesn't spend his entire day whining or talking to whiny faggots. I do my own shit and enjoy life, you should try it. >And just for the record I run my own business and company but I don't brag and claim that Bulgaria is a nice place to live because it isn't. Faggot... Go somewhere else then, faggot. I like it here. If I didn't I'd still be in Munich. We have too many whiny faggots already, go to a "better place" and pay 60% of your income as tax.
How do you get above market rate for non-senior positions?
Mason Perry
I've personally tutored 3 underprivileged kids (genius level brainpower but given 0 opportunities). All 3 work in the software industry now, and I did send all 3 to SoftUni for the free 6 week free course. Once they saw that their teachers in Softuni are complete brainlets and they're top 1% in their groups they gained the self-esteem they needed. So yea, softuni is pushing retards to the job market, but it has its place - it helps smart people gain the self esteem that many good people lack in our country :)
Aiden Roberts
>How do you get above market rate for non-senior positions? I had "senior" attached to my job description after 2 years in software biz. Many Bulgarian companies prefer to give you a "senior" label instead of paying you well, kek. I made the mistake of staying in one of those for 2 years, but it paid off as I had "senior" experience when I applied to all my other jobs further down the road. And trust me, I was a shit dev back then.
Cameron Roberts
you had half a mil in Eastern Europe and you decided to move to America? Dumb move baka enjoy being poor
Ryan Nguyen
Healthcare is literally in the shithole The judicial system is practically non-existent School and uni system fucked up and beyond repair The elected government is corrupted beyond repair and basically corruption could be found at every level The average pension is 200EUR The minimum wage is 250EUR
The only good thing about this country, so fags like you can earn $ is the outsourcing industry. Bulgaria is and will be a third world country for quite some time. Suriname is also a good place to live when you got the $$$ and bury your head in the sand but yeah sure faggot the "tax" is the most important thing. I am done talking to stupid people.
Dominic Cook
Besides the government point, the other doesn't apply to the normal dev.
Austin James
>Healthcare is literally in the shithole Private insurers are amazing, healthcare is better than anything I got in Germany for 5x the money. But you probably read dnevnik / clubz propaganda so you wouldn't know >The judicial system is practically non-existent True, but unless you spend your day getting mad about dnevnik/terminal3 articles, it's probably not going to impact you >School and uni system fucked up and beyond repair EU school systems that teach your kids commie and gay stuff are not that much better. The difference is, here you can afford to pay for private schools, and in the West, only multimillionaires can. So yeah, we have it better. >The elected government is corrupted beyond repair and basically corruption could be found at every level You're just an useful idiot for a political party that tries to radicalize you through their propaganda outlets. Go to Western Europe if you hate it that much you 2.96% faggot >The average pension is 200EUR Yes but you can give thousands to your grandparents because you save from taxes >The minimum wage is 250EUR You're a software dev, not a toilet cleaner, correct? > bury your head in the sand but yeah sure faggot the "tax" is the most important thing. Low tax is more important than overpriced government services for pretty much any adult who can wipe his own ass. Go to Western Europe if you don't like it here, I'm telling you for the fifth time, we need to have LESS faggots than you here.
Alexander Baker
He's copy+pasting propaganda snippets from Soros-funded left-wing media posturing as right-wing media (dnevnik/capital/clubz/terminal3/mediapool), he's a complete brainlet beyond redemption.
Cameron Morris
Ukrainian dude here. 500k in 30's is not a bullshit, actually. For example, in 2002 you could have earned 1000$ per month as a coder or mid-rank manager in foreign company. Buying apartment was like 15-20k in Kiev. In 5 years apartment you bought for 20k was selling for 150k. And I'm telling about smart wagecuck, not a bandit or businessman. There were many people who got extremely rich in EE from nothing.
Leo Rogers
Where in the US did you move?
Did your wife sponsor you in?
How old is she?
How long do you plan on staying in the US?
Austin Turner
What would you advise a fellow 29 bulgarian who wants to learntocode? Already have some experience with python.
Cooper Gray
500k is enough that you could put it as a down payment to secure VC capital, the secret to making money in western society is monopolizing the production of something the taxpayers subsidize.
It could be a specific knurled bolt used on bridge spans of a specific length, it could be the reflective paint dye put on stop signs, it could be the grout used to repair bad asphalt.
Anything the taxpayer is paying for but not thinking about. If you can make it the government will write you a blank check for it.
Juan Mitchell
doctorate of business is a cash grab unnecessary degree, MBA is a terminal degree you dumbass.
Dylan Lee
Your points are shit because if you make enough dosh these things shouldnt bother you that much. You have access to low cost travel to every european capital You have access to a sea (actually two seas) in a 3 hour drive. You have access to an amazing variety of mountains. Albeit slowly, things are getting better. Settling in Bulgaria is high IQ.
Justin Ward
>early 30s >no kids Have kids. At this rate you'll be 60 years old at your son's high school graduation.
Tyvm for the reply! Really appreciate it. Unfortunately I dont have the chance to attend this course, as I am working shifts. One last question - I started two python courses and i am halfway through the first one. Shall I finish them first and then proceed with your suggestion? Thanks again !
Charles Price
Python is good as an introduction for beginners, but which languages you learn after that depends on what exactly you would like to develop i.e. websites, software, embedded systems. So first figure out that.
Ian Rogers
>engineers in eastern europe all have 100s of thousands of dollars in their late 20s/early 30s
"no"
James King
Thank you for the tip! I think the web dev path is what I would like to focus on.
Brody Parker
You can stick to python if you want (besides, make it a habit to not leave things half-done), but I legit know only 1 Bulgarian company that employs python devs (Strypes). Surely there's more, but not plenty. Feel free to finish the courses, but I'd rather move on to java, js or c# afterwards as there's plenty of demand for those
Justin Hernandez
Thanks I should buy you a beer for all the useful tips! You have been a great help. I started with Python because I read, researched and saw that it is noob friendly for people like me. Once I finish it, I will proceed with the stuff you suggested. Godspeed and good luck to you, fren!
Zachary Harris
Then start learning plain EcmaScript 6 and then move on to JS frameworks like NodeJs and ReactJs
Oliver King
One last thing - dumb HR bitches are still looking for degrees instead of experience for junior devs, but whenever I had the opportunity to filter applications before interviewing, I'd always prefer guys with github profiles with some simple projects on them. Create some multithreaded web scraper app - to show of good grasp of languages, web technologies, multithreading, software engineering fundamentals. This is the type of app that can impress technical leads looking to interview junior devs. In fact you can write it in python (which has better libraries) - even if you're applying for a java job for example. But before you finish a task like that you'd have to go through the recommended courses above first. But it's a good tip to be aware of. P.S. And don't get discouraged by faggots like the guy above who are always looking to put others down. I've hired 35 year old junior devs and they would kick ass afterwards...
Hudson Walker
>Managed to save up half a million by the early 30s in eastern europe >Yet you come to a pajeet streetshitting forum for advice
Nice larp faggot, if this was true you sure as fuck wouldn't need advice on what to do next since your life is more together than probably 90% of the world's population.
Christopher White
as a red blooded american it sure is refreshing to hear a "fuck you got mine" attitude coming from a yuropo- reasonable European individual such as yourself

If this would make you cum, our last local libertarian conference ended up with a packed auditorium that couldn't contain everyone who wanted to join (500+ seats) with David Friedman speaking. But yeah, we're severely outnumbered by commies. Here left-wing means Russia-loving commie, and right-wing means Russia-hating commie. So-called right wingers are simply faggots impressed by Western Europe's social systems and government nannying. Thankfully dumb plebs elected our former king, hoping that he'd be a socialist, instead he paid off our government debt and decreased taxes to 10% flat. Things have been going to shit since, but it would take a few decades to undo all the good things he made for the country.
Mason Roberts
Thank you once more! I am literally writing this all down, so I know what to focus on.
