Daily Reminder: muh “free market competition” is just a meme and billionaires aren’t self made, they’re hand picked, then compromised and made to kiss the ring in exchange for unimaginable wealth.
Jayden Peterson
Because economics, contrary to what many economists want you to believe, is not a science in the same way as, say, physics or biology and there is yuuuge room for disagreement on very fundamental grounds.
Honestly the only reason the Keynesian school is favored currently is because their theory was and still is the most appealing to the political/ruling class.
Carter Parker
Hahaha buffet on suicide watch
Smell ya later old man
Lincoln Morales
His salary puts him in the top 1% of this shithole board, easily
>TFW someone actually posted something of substance in this thread.
This a million times desu. Buffet has never cogently addressed the fundamental case for bitcoin. Maybe one of these chucklefucks
Can point out for the rest of us where Buffet says something about bitcoin that actually demonstrates knowledge of bitcoin's value proposition, then preferably provides a real coherent couterpoint.
Adam Sullivan
It's about time someone said it. I've met him before and while he was clearly very intelligent in his own right (the way he was recalling figures from deals made decades ago led me to believe he had a photographic memory), he's too old to adapt to new technology now. Or he just doesn't care to, considering how he describes staying within his circle of competence. I can't remember exactly what it was, but when I met him about 3 years ago he was reading through this book that had like every company from some Asian stock market (it wasn't China but like South Korea or something). He was supposedly making all his picks from there since he had finished surveying US markets. He's already admitted that a huge part of his success was being born in the right place at the right time. It also sounded like his partner Charlie spends most of his day just reading biographies about people. Seems like a pointless endeavor in your 90's but go figure. Guarantee you neither of these faggots read the bitcoin whitepaper.
On a side note, what do you think Bill Gates says to these billionaires behind closed doors that somehow convinces most of them to pledge more than half of their money to him after their death?

It's hard to demonstrate knowledge of something that doesn't exist.

>Yes goyim, give us more power over the economy, so we can "stimulate" it and keep it running, thanks goy
It's hilarious how we are always quick to point out and stop conflicts of interest, but when it comes to politicians vying for an economic system that inherently grants them more power, no one bats an eye. FUCK the boomerconomy
Cameron Stewart
Yes, he is a dinosaur. Not stupid, but simply unwilling to acknowledge the value proposition of bitcoin because his ego demands that bitcoin fail. Bitcoin is a monetary and financial revolution that is in some sense an expression of widespread dissatisfaction with a highly corrupt status quo which made Buffet rich. I think on some level it is easier and safer for Buffet's ego to ignore bitcoin and disparage it when asked. He wishes it would just go away, I'm sure.
>On a side note, what do you think Bill Gates says to these billionaires behind closed doors that somehow convinces most of them to pledge more than half of their money to him after their death?
I want to know the answer to this question, too.
Ayden Murphy
The fact that you don't agree with the value proposition doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Lurk moar, brainlet. You are shitting up a potentially good thread.
Dylan Roberts
The fact you feel that there's a value proposition to the most obvious ponzi scheme in modern times doesn't mean there actually is. Do some goddamn research for once in your life.
Elijah Taylor
Back to Jow Forumsbuttcoin, nocoiner faggot. The rest of us are not here to give you a remedial course in why you are cringy and sad.

Bill Gates backdoor Windows spyware has all the evidence of them raping and eating children for Moloch
Matthew Wood
What is a ponzi scheme, please describe it in your own words and how bitcoin is one. Everyone i ask this too who says bitcoin is a ponzi scheme can never articulate further than "it's a ponzi scheme"
Owen Young
This. Anyone can spend their wealth on blue chips and be rich as fuck over the course of 50 years.
Luke Sullivan
Its literally a ponzi scheme that's built on shitty software that's filled with child pornography and is controlled by the Chinese?
What more is there to say?
Hudson Russell
And I personally tell every norman I know to stay far away from bitcoin. They all agree as well. I like to fud in real life, what can I say?
But seriously you mention cp and their jaws drop. They'll never touch this, and with the multiplier effect, neither will their friends of family.
> doing gods work
Juan Turner
Fuck buffet, fuck boomers

max keiser a lucky junkie
Michael Hughes
Everything is a ponzi. Everything. I personally think now is a good time to get in on the Monero pozi and to a lesser extent, the Bitcoin ponzi.
Buffet did really well out of the stock market ponzi. Good for him. It's not like you can't fuck up these types of trends (buying link for example).
Jace Parker
>>On a side note, what do you think Bill Gates says to these billionaires behind closed doors that somehow convinces most of them to pledge more than half of their money to him after their death?

Tax breaks.
Jose Fisher
who cares? its not like theres still a chance for people getting into crypto in the past 18 months to get insanely rich anyway. everybody that's going to make it in crypto already has, and they don't give a fuck about the opinions of luddites.
Daniel Parker
Goddamn millennials, why can't old man Buffett just do his thing? Same kids also make fun of Trump for getting into real estate, Buffett does buying Apple and selling puts and calls with its shares and its paying hugely. Even though Apple sucks.
Does he want some hackjob crypto coins or companies that have real shit and are doing real nigga shit at real nigga hours? Id say the latter because he is old.
Just not a fan of judging people on history.
Cameron Wood
>Goddamn millennials, why can't old man Buffett just do his thing?
When he shits on bitcoin without even addressing the fundamentals he is opening himself up for criticism. Especially given his reputation as a "legendary investor"
>Same kids also make fun of Trump for getting into real estate
No one ITT has said anything about Trump and real estate, I'm afraid you are guilty of projecting an identity onto these anons
>Does he want some hackjob crypto coins or companies that have real shit and are doing real nigga shit at real nigga hours? Id say the latter because he is old.
If successful, crypto companies will have a much larger impact on society than any bullshit tech company has had in the past decade. Most of the companies launched in the past ten years were pumped in order to make money for the founders, VC's, and banks assisting with IPOs yet many still struggle to achieve profitability. The ones that do typically harvest as much data as possible from users. In contrast, crypto has potential to put users back in charge of their wealth, data, and digital identity.
neither of these are very convincing desu
Lucas Russell
No. Unless by "ponzi" you mean "something of speculative interest."
Almost every kind of speculative asset by definition peaks at some point, so you might call those who buy at the absolute peak "the greatest fools." That, however, is where the similarities between speculative assets in general and an actual Ponzi scheme end.
Agreed. Despite his failings and going full "crony capitalist" in his later years, Buffet was a shrewd son of a bitch who was a legend in his own day. Unfortunately for Buffet, the system he grew up in and learned to love has become irredeemably corrupt and must be remade from the ground up. The man understandably has his head in the sand.
Matthew Walker
This entire interview Buffet sounds nervous. Dude overpaid for Ketchup by about $4 Billion. Feels Boomer, man. youtube.com
Owen Campbell
He shit on gold and crypto in the same letter to stockholders. This shriveled faggot just poopoos everything he’s not selling. Crypto and gold are threats to him, he doesn’t profit when you buy them. How do you old man shriveled scrotum licking faggots not see this?
Carson Murphy
Warren buffet is old and drinks coke every day... will die soon... there’s a reason that successful people fade and that the next big people are yet to be unveiled

kys boomer this is and always was a crypto board and if you are too subsaharan to acknowledge that bitcoin is the de facto reserve currency of the internet then fuck you. You arn't here for a discussion. kys.
Julian Lopez
kek that's what lets him say it how it is. Buffet is just a lucky boomer
Connor Jackson
Noticed how he never gave you an answer.
Brandon Moore
>buffet needed a bailout
Nonsense, the banks were begging him to bail THEM out, but he refused, let it collapse, and bought the cheap assets
Alexander Baker
>born in the right place at the right time
>every whyboi born in rural Nebraska in the 40s is nearly a centibillionaire
Nice argument
Btc on its own has no real value, a nice proof of concept, nothing more.
Though blockchain has some real world usecases, Warren isn’t exactly a tech guy. As a currency btc is literal garbage, and Warren is 100% right about that.
Luke Sanchez
Literally?
Do I wear a condom?!
Colton Anderson
but the banks did get a bailout. absolutely nothing collapsed except the lives of people illegally forclosed upon when the banks started forging signatures.
