>Dad owned several properties in seedy areas of Boston and lived off the income for 20 years >Had me and drilled into me that I had to go to college because he couldn't >He blew all the money on cars and stupid shit >Now I have crippling student debt and will inherit nothing W-well at least now they can't say I got mommy and daddy money?
How the fuck does someone crawl back up from nothing?
The fact you’re still here makes you pretty strong
What’s your portfolio like, we’re all gonna make it
Jaxon Brooks
Long story short, for the past 2 years ive been eating 1 meal a day and waging deeper into debt. two days ago I found out my boomers have been siphoning money that I was ENTITLED to so they can... not fucking joking... buy their third and largest house in the past 5 years WHILE TAKING LOSES ON ALL PREVIOUS HOUSES. I called her a cunt, told her she would never know her grandchild's love, quit my job, walked out of my apt lease and drove 5 states north to ensure it would be statistically impossible to even ACCIDENTALLY meet her grandchild. Betray your blood, lose your immortality. My mother violated the first rule of biology, ensure the safety of your prodigy, especially if you only have one and your womb defunct.
>fucking asshole boomer parents all they care about is money >sever ties with your family because of money poorfag mentality
Jackson Parker
Serves you right for having a Boomer father. Make sure you repay him the favor and kill him in his sleep.
Liam Taylor
typical entitled brat amerifat as well.
Blake Thomas
>What's your portfolio HAHAH, $160,000 in student loan debt for a master's degree in... Drumroll please... Acting. And $200 in stocks. Recently sold most of what I had at a 3% profit. Woopee.
I got stock in AMD, CRON, TRNX and NXST.
I'm so sorry. We're truely the ignored generation.
I have this dream of getting rich enough to rent to kids at prices enough to just break even if they prove they need it and are working toward ANY legal goal.
Nathan Myers
you brought this upon yourself >i was a retard and daddy didnt bail me out 90% of us have broke ass parents yet somehow you are in the worst position out of anyone here
Jose Perry
you cut it off with our parents cuz they were spending their own money...? and youre expecting sympathy?
holy hell this thread reeks of poverty
Caleb Reed
>>Had me and drilled into me that I had to go to college because he couldn't After half a decade of clinical depression and suffering I'm back in school because my boomer father had the same attitude.
I want to program now, but I've developed a complex around not having a degree and it's driving my insane even though I no longer care for the idea of having a degree after all the struggle. No debt, fortunately, but 3 years behind in graduating at the age of 23, probably won't get a degree until I'm 24/25, currently an electrical engineering student.
I just want to create children's/young adult entertainment now, but I have no idea how I'd monetize it, so I'm left trudging through a degree long after I lost passion for it and well into years of having suicidal thoughts frequently. The only time I ever sought help was when I first started having them when I first started college, and they just kicked me out for being high risk and everything cascaded into failure from there.
Eventually I'll finish something. Eventually I'll focus. I'm getting a screening for ADHD because said boomer father has it and never got my screened as a kid because of course he didn't.
Hunter Flores
He shouldn't cut out his family but I get it, it hurts and sucks. I still love my dad and he's teaching me about real estate, I just wish he hadn't blown everything he worked for on stuff that didn't even make him happy.
Nope. We all make mistakes and I still love the big dope.
I know I fucked up. I wanna do better. I don't regret the acting degree because now I can teach theater which is what I love doing anyway, and that's fairly steady.
Christopher Williams
Grandparents are spending all their money having their entire houses redecorated every six months. "Well, you can't take it with you".
My parents are spending all theirs having 3+ long-haul foreign holidays a year, since "you never know when you'll die so, we're enjoying ourselves while we can. Sorry, you're getting nothing".
Meanwhile I'm here at 31 in rented accommodation, saving like a bastard for a house that just keeps getting ever further away..
Wages have risen 33% since year 2000, house prices have risen 300%+..
Cameron Rivera
>he's getting screened for ADHD

First, avoid females, drugs, and gambling. Then, spend every waking hour working to build wealth. Come back in a few years with an update.
Ryan Jones
Take some responsibility retarded zoomer. You are destined to fail at life. the weak do not deserve nobility
Hudson Williams
I'm too socially retarded to get addy off the street and actually being honest about my insecurities and the neuroses they cause got me kicked out of college my freshman year, fuck yeah I'm going to just say what it takes to get drugs to bruteforce my problems.
John Torres
>$160,000 in student loan debt for a master's degree in... Drumroll please... Acting. Dude, just leave the country, and start over somewhere else. Don't even bother trying to pay that back.
Lincoln Cruz
>I just want to create children's/young adult entertainment now I mean, that I actually know how to do. I wanna open a summer program to teach theater to kids. $3000 a summer per head, that's 3 months of glorified babysitting for 8 hours a day at $50 a day, $60,000 for 3 months of work.
If you live in NYC I could talk to you about it?
Hunter Wood
Retards, I said it was the short version, not the biz approved justification version. I have lived below poverty line for 30 years and I found out 2 days ago that 5 year of it were inflicted by my own blood so that they could buy their third house while I struggle to find work and eat rice once a day. I know you're just trolling rn, but im easy af to trigger right now. None of you niggers has parents that could produce anything but semen and fertile eggs but get upset when he mcdonalds cashier doesnt ask you if you wanted the small instead of the medium because youre "watching the budget". Die in a very awesome fire plz.
>I still love my dad and he's teaching me about real estate, I just wish he hadn't blown everything he worked for on stuff that didn't even make him happy. At least now you know what mistakes not to repeat. The most important asset you have is yourself, the 2nd is your family. That's why certain ethnic groups are doing so well for themselves. While everyone else separates because of trifles such as money, when money isn't even that important in the west.
Logan Smith
Why are boomers such sociopaths?
Joseph Myers
Grandparents retired at 50 btw. It's likely to be 75 for my generation, once I'm there.
Parents owned a house at 19.
Connor Torres
It is easy for you. You need to replicate the conditions that led to your father getting access to cheap housing. But the entire world wants to move to the United States so that will never happen.
This is the story of the United States, unless you can buy a lot of land and quickly develop it you are screwed. The ideal situation for this board would be to engage in what amounts to massive racketeering and discrimination which the Federal Government has outlawed. So you will never be able to own anything and the system is set up that way.
One legal means that we could all benefit from the appreciation of property prices would be to pool our money in some sort of land corporation and all pledge a certain amount of money for shares to continuously buy new properties that we could all occupy for "rent" payments back to the collective that would be used to pay for more property. It could function similarly to a timeshare arrangement but it might be difficult to get enough money for the endeavor unless everyone were to contribute adequately. If we were to structure it properly it would lead to those with the highest stake in the game towards a house getting one sooner while the punters would be placed on the bottom of the list.
Nathan Cook
I'm planning on paying what I can every month and dying with it.
Gavin Jackson
>allegedly over 30 years old >namefag >Die in a very awesome fire plz. Ok, where did your parents take the money from? Since you're not being specific I'm gonna assume it's not entirely your money.
Jackson Russell
>Sympathize with you >Get told to die in a fire Ok
Jonathan Cook
Just get a gov't job, it's automatically dismissed after 25 years IIRC.
Nathaniel Carter
THIS. You’re a fucking leech, op. I bet you won’t vote, but if you did it would be for The Bernsheister.
Ayden Miller
>timeshare Nope nope nope.
Mason Ortiz
>Confusing me with that guy Fucks sake, we have ID's for a reason. Voted Trump and will again.
Samuel Walker
I know a kid whose dad died in the military and his mom used his college fund to buy a house and then kicked him out when he turned 18.
>.tar.gz I didn’t notice that at first. You know, you’re right. I should just seriously address the root of my depression and move past it instead of shopping for excuses as to why I’m not productive. I shy away from being productive, that’s why I’m not productive.
Jackson Robinson
Well that's pretty much our only option legally. The government at every single level controls land and housing in such a way that structuring any sort of cooperative/communal/joint ownership in a way that doesn't involve some sort of chicanery almost impossible. We don't have access to enough money to get land or housing without a way to divy it up so that eventually all participants will stop paying rents.
Camden Kelly
>voted Trump >and will again Yep. It’s poverty alright
Wyatt Wood
Welcome to boomers op.
Leo Edwards
>why don't people give me money :( I deserve it Holy fuck everyone in this thread kill yourself
Easton Torres
Families used to preserve wealth until the boomer generation sold out to the consumption Jew. How new are you fag?
Colton Martinez
If you are under the age of 40 right now there is likely no way for you to engage in the kinds of opportunities that prior generations were able to take advantage of. The future is not likely to have very many money making opportunities or ways to at least prevent cost of living from rising out of step with wages. Do you have any ideas on how we can prevent ourselves from becoming slaves to banks?
Lincoln Martinez
>he's still seething he lost the election years ago
hahahahaha
Robert Gray
STAY mad.
Anyway, anyone got actual money making advice? I didn't really mean this to turn into a boomer shitflinging circle jerk
Ethan Jenkins
If you can’t beat ‘em...
Xavier Allen
Ok, how do you join them when every single financial services company is planning to cut down on staffing over the coming century? The issue is first mover advantage, by virtue of being born at the wrong time we are all somewhat screwed out of that.
Cameron Brown
You lack imagination. It’s like saying welp, the gold rush is over, guess we’re all doomed to eat sand for the rest of our gay lives.
Joseph Robinson
I have plenty of imagination. I have stacks of business ideas and plans that all run into the reality of finances. If you want to play their game you need to have their money and in many places you need to have their influence.
Robert Moore
oh wow OK, so my situation isn't too unique. It still hurts. All I could see when she was trying to explain how they were helping me was how their frail understanding of interest vs principal has been the root of all of their suffering since the fucking 60s and now they want me to feel like them "investing my college fund" into the GOD DAMN INTEREST PAYMENT OF THEIR HOME THEY WOULD SELL 9 MONTHS LATER. I should've been asking questions how my new step father who was LITERALLY homeless just a year before meeting my mom now had conspicuous wealth despite making 15 an hour. Now, with more experience and knowledge I see that he was a thief, and my mom was all too happy to enable him if it meant another 100sqft.
Aiden Roberts
They're preparing us to kill the boomers, and honestly I'm okay with it. Day of the pillow soon. Boomer sympathizers get the pillow too.
Austin Bell
You need to have the money to lawyer up in this over litigious age, that’s true. Have you considered law school?
Jaxson Garcia
Shit field. Automation is going to reduce the need for legal services and it is coming to their field first in the paralegal levels. Mid-level attorneys are getting squeezed next and opening your own practice is dying due to simplifications from small-claims court and binding arbitration. Arbitration is going to gut the legal profession if it continues unabated. Arbitrators also tend to be managerial level personnel from non legal professions.
Jackson Cox
>the first rule of biology, ensure the safety of your prodigy Based. at least you understand the significance of multi-generational wealth for your own children - this is what separates successful families from the plebian class. The boomer scum's embrace of hedonism at the expense of their genetic successors' well-being is truly disgusting.
The best part is that the plebs have been conditioned to actually DEFEND this kek. - as if this wasn't seen as an outright responsibility for decades prior
>tfw boomer-free family and i am thankful for that every day
Justin Robinson
go back to lereddit u faggot
Nicholas Gonzalez
Pitch crypto to them and ask for a big loan If crypto dies there's nothing they can do to you, so it's a riskfree loan
Caleb Cooper
Don’t ever depend on your folks for stuff. Smart people realize early on that for most, not all, people don’t get shit other that what they’ve worked for.
Camden Hughes
Both sides of my family are worth 5-10 million
I'm the only man bearing the family last name. I was kicked out at 17, no help with school, and all the help was given to distant family. Got a divorce because fighting over money, never had kids cause we were always broke. Dad calls me drunk sometimes complaining I don't have kids yet. Fucking faggot

>parents both masters educated >father literally CEO of liability insurance company going 10+ years >step-mom president of health insurance company my father started 25 years ago(used to be his employee before he left and married her) >biological mother attorney 30+ years in California >Grew up in wealthiest neighborhood in the US >Lived in legitimately a 9,750 sqft house on a vineyard parents owned >20 years old got kicked out because only went to community college >had to get a driver's license on my own(parents never taught me) >had to purchase a car on my own >find a room to rent >quit school out of necessity >$25,000 in consumer debt >making $13.50/hour
It's definitely a transition, I have nothing to show for myself except debt. I'm optimistic though.
We could buy desert land for cheap and start up there like Slab City
Christian Turner
join the army. its the only way youll learn the concept of personal responsibility at this point. you join the army too. something richfag parents can get behind despite being a fuck up

5 years of service where you might die in echange for 200k and a french passport and citizenship with a new name.
If you die you die, 160k is enough to neck rope over anyway at least you got to go out shooting rebels in the middle of buttfuck africa. If you survive you get a new life and a leg up.
