Yah no fuck that. You should only wage enough to obtain as much crypto to live comfy off the gains. Why contribute to a system that is actively genociding you. But if you wanna contribute to society that is fine once you have enough crypto to live comfy be your own boss start a business hire other wagecucks. if you wanna work for someone go in knowing you can quit at anytime at no point do you feel like you need to stick with a job because you have all these shackles around you. wageslaves are slaves for a reason. Break free from your chains white man Debt and taxes or an illusion.

I am working a job which I don't really like and really want to switch. But the problem is that financially speaking it would not make any sense to do so , I get paid almost the same as a senior software developer despite the fact that you don't need anything to do this job. Although the main issue is that it is pretty hard to get in . I got in but I hate it.
Frens , I want to get into Software Dev world and am studying that right now. Would you think that might be a good long term job ? All the hints are pointing at yes but sometimes when I read stuff on Jow Forums regarding that area it makes me a bit depressed. Any advice ?
Okay I agree but I was talking about real jobs, not McWagies positions. I don't even consider the people who work those jobs to be real people
Dylan Hughes
>Frens, I want to get into Software Dev world and am studying that right now. Would you think that might be a good long term job? Focus on backend, not frontend. There is far less competition with pajeets and backend also pays a higher salary as well. Learn Node.js or Python; both of those languages are extremely useful for backend right now. Better yet is to learn both of them which will make your resume even more attractive and give you more job opportunities Get an AWS certification. I don't have a college degree, and an Associate-level degree is almost always a good enough substitute in order to get an interview aws.amazon.com/certification/

Since you're in Europe I have no idea how much employers actually care about a college or university degree. For me I did two years of college and then dropped out when I realized it's not necessary at all >t. USAfag The internet is so amazing that you can just learn everything yourself and be ready for a job in a year. Unfortunately employers normally won't hire somebody with literally zero experience, but having a certification can really help you get past this first largest hurdle If the employer culture in Europe is similar to USA's, I'd recommend that you skip university altogether and get a certification and then land a part-time job for starters (this is exactly how I started out after dropping out). After a year doing part-time, I moved on to a full-time salaried position. If I would have done this at the very beginning instead of wasting two years at college, then I'd have +2 years of experience and be tens of thousands of dollars richer due to not paying student loans Also to reiterate on how useless college has been for me, I have literally used 0% of what I learned in college in my entire professional career
Thomas Garcia
Is golang any use for backend? All the cool kids are talking about it. It's my dream to be a back-end Barry.
I have looked up some positions to know what they are asking for and normally for Junior Position it's about 50/50 if you need a degree or not . If the company is big then probably you do need one although they also specify that if you have experience that will be fine as well. Smaller companies on the other hand are much more chill and will hire you if you have anything to show them that you have the knowledge to do the job.For senior positions I have almost never seen them asking for a degree.
Daniel Moore
I’m a wagie, and it has done very little for my self-esteem. > women managers/employees are vengeful cancer who humiliate you until you quit because you dared to ask them whatever inane question that set them down a path of narcissistic injury > gossip > politics > sabotaging projects and shifting the blame just to live another day at work > employees/management actually distrust you if you only come to work TO WORK and go home Unemployment is its own kind of hell, but any feelings of unworthiness are remedied with a limited part-time job. I feel bad for any wagie that has to work more than 20 hours. It is truly a nightmare and I’m hoping the stock market can bail me out soon.

Furthermore people act like its noble to just shut the fuck up and do your work, like your ancestors would be mad your not working a job to support society when they had to hunt down elk in a loincloth with their bare fucking hands, but thats just not true. I cant imagine anyone that fucking metal thinking its respectable to let some fat sweaty 50 year olds who own shares in a corporation make you flip fucking burgers and sell cheap plastic goods that children made in china so they can afford to molest Disney stars with their wealth, all while running fucking train on the enviroment and convincing you all of this is a good thing because profit means god has blessed you in america. Get the fuck out of here, a job is a bad thing and its bassically you unironically being a little bitch. This site wonders why cuckholding fetishes are being pushed so heavily but little do they realized these sweaty grease stains have cucked you out of your natural birthright to all the earth produces all for the low cost of you being able to buy a fucking mcstankys burger and jerk your meat whenever they arent slave driving you. Fucking pathetic, id much rather have people call me a looser and a bum rather then buying into modern industrialism, at least then I know I'm beta enough to not be cucked by these guys.
Jose Phillips
I'm sure there are a handful of companies using it, but the issue is there might not be enough demand to fully invest into golang. What you could do is just look up the syntax and make some really basic programs over a weekend to get used to the language, and then slap it on your resume to give it more meat Very nice; if I was you I'd go work for a smaller or mid-sized company after obtaining a certification. Work there for a year and then find a new better job elsewhere. It is almost always easier to get a better or more high-paying job moving to a new company than it is to remain in the same company You'll save a ton of money without needing to pay back student loans, but more importantly you'll save 4+ years of your life. Literally a scam how employers value 4 years of university = 1 year of professional experience
i don’t want to be a wagie anymore. i am so so sad.

It is seriously fucked up that with so little needs (literally internet, food, water and heat) I instead have to spend 50 hours a week slaving and 20 hours a week recovering from the mental onslaught.
Why is being a neet so horrible? My parents would flip shit daily if I tried to move home and do this. Ironically it would be best for them because I am their only hope for any sort of retirement.

How do I escape wageslavery? I'm a graphic designer working in-house for marketing in some SAAS company. My department is making like 60k every month and its only 4 people but everything goes to Mr Shekelstein. I know my wage is like 1700 eurobucks/mo. How do I get a slice of the fucking pie. Did anyone ever transcend from wageslavery to freelance fulltime?
I'm working on my portfolio website but I've seen shekelstein sue the fuck out of people for no reason, I'm afraid if I use any of the work I did here it might be some kind of infringement. But asking shekelstein if I can use it will make him suspicious
thanks, I’ll be trying out my new power poses today. will report back.

You should save up a bit and then change. I'm in oil and gas and there are many high paying dead end jobs. They call them golden handcuffs. Eventually you have to decide between pay or actual career you want. If you have a family I'd lean towards stay at higher paying job to support them but if single go for career you want.
Tyler Rogers
>I'm a graphic designer working in-house for marketing in some SAAS You should be building a portfolio of work on the side. Consider artstation to publish your stuff to. Make a website and then put on their possible services you can do. Then maybe see what Facebook ads cost you and buy some to get some traffic going. When you have enough business going quit your day job and do it full time.

You don't have the experience we need for y, but you should apply to x." >eternary trapped making less than I could doing basic things that don't even use half my education. Fuck this frens. Try to max out match if possible. Otherwise good job, and make sure your saving remains consistent.
true. Also then you can find places next to your house and not 20km away. Often you can even just copy paste the name of the company into facebook and message them there, or find the email address on the google maps page. Uncle google is a good friend sometimes. 16.25 after tax? Not too bad for sitting in a box. >short bursts of actually enjoying your money. try to save and invest your money and not spend it all at once. Living paycheck to paycheck IS worse than slavery.
protip for wagies: never sign the time you actually arrive at if it's later than when you arrived. Just be late and get paid for the time you were late by, then you have magically got more free time and increased your hourly wage!
You're literally doing the same thing you did before: sit on your ass all day. If sitting your ass in an office chair rather than a forklift gives you dignity then more power to you. I use the computer most of the evening when I get home, I think that would just feel wrong if I worked at a desk all day.

what did you sign when you got hired? depending on the contract you may have said that any work you do is mr shekelsburgs because you are his employee and he is paying you for your skills. you may have signed a non compete agreement which would also fuck you. depending on the contract you signed which you should ask HR for that should help you know what sort of rights you did or did not sign away for a little tiny slice of pie.
I wouldn't put that portfolio out until I read my contract twice for any non compete or intellectual property agreements. you may have
played yourself
whatever your budget is right now slash that bitch into one eighth im talking go full fucking cocoon mode my nigga. if they just match 50% without any cap talk to HR and put as much of your fucking check as liveably possible into that 401K.
I don't know what your budget is but uhh fuck it and your idea of a good life. Minimize all your avoidable costs as much as possible. If at the end of the month you can pay all your bills and still afford beans eggs and apples off the rent from the duplex then nigga tell HR you want 100% of your paycheck going into that 401K.
alright that might be too extreme but the more you can defer directly into that 401K oh my god my penis is becoming the jew penis. fucking idiots didn't cap their match they match 50% dump eet all into 401k and you can retire off dividends from index etfs. when you get sick of stacking that yaper you can rollover the 401k into a ROTH for tax deference.

Sup bro I'm a data analyst contractor at a large bank.
Economics is a good degree to get in, especially if you want to be financial services where there are lots of jobs, and good money to be made.
Get in on a graduate scheme where they will train you up. All you need is a bachelor's degree and to pass the interview process (which is the hard part).
The main tools for a data analyst would be SQL / SAS / Python / R (not all of these, but you want to know at least 2). I didn't know how to code before getting my first job. You can pick these up on the job. The hardest part is getting your first job.
How smart are you? "Data scientist" is really just a fancy word for a data analyst who has a master's degree in applied maths / stats and does more advanced modelling work. The salary is typically higher but so is the IQ requirements. You don't want to pursue a career in which you're not smart enough for, and out of your depth, or spend time/money/effort on a master's degree that's not required.
UX designer? I know some of them but really sure what they do. It's more of a niche field with less jobs around. I would say data analyst / data scientist is a safer bet for a career.

unless you have that great idea you are just not going make it and remain a wagslave or - Allah forbid - a NEET.. I have come to accept that. I have been waiting 2 years for my great idea and it hasn't come. fuck this, I am just going to work 9-5 and play vidya. and some passive investing but that won't make me rich and independent any time soon.
It's a shitshow getting your first job. Just keep trying bro. Get your CV out there on job sites. Get talking to recruiters. Get active on linkedin and see what kind of companies data analysts are working for in your area. Then apply to those companies. I'd put SQL and R on your CV and Linkedin just so recruiters can find you through "key word" matches. Just keep trying.

Out of curiosity, how old are you user? What country are you from?
want to have a great idea? start selling literally anything you will see a ton of opportunities once you are on the seller side. Customer acqusition, retention, advertising methods, sales tracking, monetization, etc.
The consumer concepts are saturated as shit because anyone can observe the problems. However on the business side, everyone who sees the problems is already trying to do something else.

I feel like its too late for me to get a grown up job. I've been working shit minimum wage jobs for 11 years and it feels like this will be my life for now on. I tried going to school, but I failed and dropped so many of my classes. If I go back I feel like it will take me a long time to retake those classes and pass them. I feel like once the HR/hiring manager look at my GPA, they'll just throw my name out. I'm also bad with networking/connecting with people. So I can't have a job just land in my lap like some of those kids I went to school with. I want to turn my life around, but I just don't know how. I've been reading books, and listening to podcasts. I'm hoping this will all help me out at the end. It doesn't seem like it right now though. I'm 27, but I feel like I have the mind of a 18 year old edgy kid. I've cut down on my time I spent looking at memes. I'm just hoping I can still rewire my brain and finally become an adult. Not even sure if what I'm typing is making sense. Haven't had a good night sleep in 3 days.
I remember when I was 15 and my view of the adult world was informed by caricatures and losers.
Sorry, I meant to say "Based and redpilled". Seriously if you're a teenager this cynicism will serve you well in the world and you'll go places, if you're already past 20 on the other hand then there's no hope for you.

>all of these extreme measures >in the end your 401k just gets inflated away
If his employer matches 50% of his contributions with no cap, he can turn around and withdraw from his 401K next year, pay all the massive taxes and early withdrawal penalty, and still come out ahead. But then again, that's why just about every employer that does 401K matching only matches up to a certain percentage.
