Depends on your definition of decentralization. It drives prices down in the aspect of choice, you can choose different providers who compete for jobs and therefore single oracles will be cheaper. But if you want more decentralization on one contract you'll have to buy multiple oracles and therefore you pay more for this security. The main point isn't to make it cheaper but to give the people a choice of how much they want to pay for which level of decentralization.
