Be honest do you know anything about how economies work?

Be honest do you know anything about how economies work?

Was 2008 foreseeable and the average person just doesn't understand how it happened because they don't know how economies work?

the date? probably not for people who aren't industry insiders
but you don't need genius IQ to see that peddling fake money is bound to have some problems

Do you think wise enough people could ave avoided it?Is basic economics enough?

No.

Is being pre emptive and diversifying my capital enough to avoid it?

no

Yes. Anyone looking st the data couldve foreshadowed it happening (except normies).

I will obviously study 2008 and the economy but

>Was 2008 foreseeable
Sort of? It certainly looks like a big scam in hindsight.

If you foresaw it how would you have made money off it and how did so many people get blindsided?

The thing is we know we are the height of stock markets for years and it pretty much can only go down, but still we're greedy and we all want to ride the last pumps. May have been the same before, people knew it was shady but wanted to ride more pumps and it fell down to fast for them to do anything about it.

t. seen The Big Short

Well you could have shorted the stocks the most exposed to the scam that was pumping it all. Personally I wasn't following markets at the time.
also this

Because its a big fucking scam. In order to get everything to fall you’d have to tip over the first domino. Except tipping over that first domino is fucking hard.

why would people try to find something wrong with a system that made them tons of money?

Dont have to try that hard to find wrong in it

The only reason the wrongs are not discussed is that almost everybody has their money in the system

The Big Short was based on a real story though. The character played by Christian Bale actually made a couple billions irl because he analysed the data and bet against the banks.

Everyone conveniently forgets the part where he was down 60% and basically just waiting to get liquidated.

Even the pros can get it wrong.

“Markets can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent”

The movie included that part, no?

This is literally what the guys in the Big Short did.

the could have just bought all mortage backed securities immediately at face value and nothing would have happened.

also it is easy to judge things in hindsight, just like saying now 20k was the OBVIOUS BTC TOP
