Early in the summer of 2017 it was rumored that ANS was going to be rebranded. I remember the ATH of ANS in June 2017 or so was around the price that NEO is right now. So many people didn’t take it seriously because of the logo but after the rebranding it took off.

Honestly the chain link shilling has seemed so coordinated from the start it’s become a meme at this point. It’s gotten way more out of hand than what ANS or NEO ever was discussed about.

its ironic, because unlike some of the old moon missions that did a 100x or more during the bullrun then quickly faded away (PIVX), link did a 5x at best from its initial shilling price of 25 cents but never went away. its the most shilled coin ever on Jow Forums and yet the returns are weak compared to many others

I remember whenever XRP was the highest growing coin of 2017. Shit was crazy to watch, unfortunately it’s centralized but earned a lot of anons here a pretty penny.

OMG was one of the ones that boasted real world application uses and looked promising but now you barely hear about it on Jow Forumscrypto and here. I doubt it’ll ever make a comeback.

Ant was insane. I got in around 2$ when people on biz started talking about it. Then it became neo and went to like 50$ in a day. I remember I just kept checking my phone and was blown away. It's too bad the board is full of shills and 4chain try hard now. Like most of half chan now.

We very well could see an ETH-like bull run with NEO the next time bull market swings around. However I’m investing most of my play money into big coins onto Coinbase because those will reach mass adoption by normies first and the ideal coins to dump your bags onto newfags coming into the market. NEO is also on Coinbase, just not buyable, and I see much potential in it.

Is that really what the old biz delegate was?

I went to a meetup for ark in NYC and the biz classic people said that their delegate was called biz classic because it was a pun on ethereum classic and the name of the guy, "biz", who previously ran a delegate.

I guess they didn't want to be publicly associated with Jow Forums.

I browsed biz very briefly in 2015 but didnt stick around. Came back and got into crypto in august 2017. Wish I woulda made it with eth and ans back in early 2017 with the old biz. I hope chainlink saves me from wagecucking but honestly I hate the newfaggy culture around it.

"biz" was a guy from here that called himself "Magnet." I saw a post here mentioning Ark in 2017, looked into it, bought some bags and told Moon about it. A mutual friend of Moon and I created an Ark discord and invited us. Magnet and other Jow Forums arkies joined and we all rallied around him as /our delegate/.

Over time we saw he didn't really know what he was doing. Moon and I helped him with all the technical stuff. After 2 weeks, Magnet accidentally sent ~2400 Ark to a single wallet instead of distributing it to his voters (us) and everybody was pissed. Magnet couldn't really give us an explanation for his fuckup so we kicked him. Moon and I made a new delegate called "biz_classic" as a nod to the Ethereum/Ethereum Classic fork and joked about how we were "forking" Magnet's delegate by absorbing the voters he exit scammed -- including ourselves.

Our association to Jow Forums and Jow Forums are clear and has been used to FUD us on reddit and slack, which is ironic given how Jow Forums as a community has probably contributed the most to Ark on a technical and shilling level.

Not old Jow Forums but I’ve been on Jow Forums for like 13 or 14 years now and I very clearly remember calling people faggots for shilling btc on /b/ and many other boards throughout the years, even as early as 2011 too.

Holy shit I remember exactly where I was the day they rebranded. Never seen my portfolio pump so quickly. I’ve been blessed in dropping 10k from my savings into ETH at 25 then all into ANS at 5. Also thankful a friend told me to jump ship when the whole market crashed so I threw all in on Link. 2 years later sitting on 250k Link waiting for the final moon mission before I can retire. I’ve held through so much bullshit that I’m immune to selling early. Can’t fucking wait.

you're going to have to learn how to evaluate coins on your own. the only use case for XMR is drugs, and it's a currency which means it's a bad investment since currencies are not stores of value. and any coin with many billions in supply is a scam meant to take money away from you under the guise of being cheap.

People were calling $1 XRP EOY in the Poloniex trollbox during the XRP pump to 1000 sats, almost exactly 2 years ago, and it seemed like an unrealistic meme. I had 100k xrp at the time I purchased with $600. Even the first run up to 5 cents was wild and like nothing I'd seen before.

I had so many ANS... I could have made six figures off of the Numeraire I bought but sold for a few hundred dollars. Things were so wild then.

I don't think the bottom is in for a few reasons, main one being that the next bubble is the one where industries begin to really blockchain tech and most altcoins which should be bringing new use cases and value to the blockchain are almost all just vaporware still. The most important altcoin in the market that will bring industry adoption being chainlink is still just vaporware. Ethereum didn't take off until 5 months after their product released. so that's why i'm expecting the start of 2020 to be when chainlink will 10x from here. 2021 will be the start of the bullrun for btc and ethereum.

Actually surprising to see a lot of oldfags not on the LINK train. I hated the endless link shilling a year ago but it started to catch my interest because I realized how much it reminded me of early Ethereum shilling, more specifically chainlink memes gave me a feeling of nolstagia to the early Ethereum days where vitalik was memed non stop. It lead me to research it and I can confidently say chainlink is the strongest Oracle provider and has the best token economics in this market.
