Who will be buying a Provable/Oraclize chainlink box?
Actually considering it
Who will be buying a Provable/Oraclize chainlink box?
Earn link. Why not.
looks pretty dope what does that cost
Depends on the price and rewards
What are the specs on this?
If this thing is a plug-and-play Chainlink node, I might be buying one.
Or any of the many others that are sure to follow.
oh look, here comes the real scam. someone selling Link shovels
How is selling shovels a scam?
ask all the people who bought asic miners the last 2 years
Answer the question though.
They made bank, what about them?
Gonna buy at least 5 up to 10 of these badboys
>asic miners
Its only the impatient morons who chucked them out or sold them at a loss that will feel like spuds in 2 years.
t. doesn't mine.
>miner = node
Might get one. They're not hard to set up on your own hardware though.
t. didn't mine
>They're not hard to set
They are hard to set up in a supremely reliable way, with maximum uptime. Your link depends on your nodes uptime.
What makes them anymore reliable than picking out my own reliable hardware and making sure it works using testnet? But no, they're not hard to set up. There's even premade node images avaliable. I do agree that uptime is incredibly valiable but I did actually read the white paper.
nobody is going to trust a node that isn't running Secure Hardwareâ„¢
classic bait and switch
Well the clients that want SGX will want you to use Intel.
That's about it.
Gonna keep flinging shit at the wall and see what sticks?
Just "making sure it works" isn't enough. It's like a difference from a script you wrote in an afternoon and a enterprise application that basically does the same. The latter is several orders of magnitude more complex and for good reasons.
what the fuck the checked patterns warps like an optical illusion, expand the image and see for yourself
if this is what it comes down to arent oracles kind of pointless when you boil off the foam?
Are you trying to say TEEs make oracles obsolete?
Nope. What gives you that impressions?
im just saying that now we have to trust intel. which isn't much better than what we had before.
hasn't intel and other chip manufacturers been shown time and time again to be putting backdoors in everything?
>now we have to trust intel.
which is literally backdoored by (((them)))
If only someone thought to do a decentralized network or TEE's....oh, waiiiiiit
>im just saying that now we have to trust intel
"We" have been trusting computer hardware since the dawn of computers.
You absolute retard.
This is what Link fud has come to: fudding the very notion of computers to try and delegitimize Chainlink.
i thought link was doing trustless decentralised oracles. but trusting Intel seems to be what it all boils down to. that doesnt sound trustless OR decentralised.
This is what Link fud has come to: fudding the very notion of computers to try and delegitimize Chainlink.
no more (You)s for stinky linky intelâ„¢ shills
It's called sophistry - shifting definitions of words for argumentative tactics.
It's also simple gaslighting.
