much more than I need
I think that will hold true as long as I don't make the accidental baby
The sad thing is, this would be an ideal jumping-off point for a budgeting/how to manage money thread, if this place wasn't poisoned in the brain by memes and cryptocurrency
Never too late to do that.
My tips : -make a .xls budget with the income, all your savings (you never know when a flat tire or an emergency happens) & all the expenses & stick to it.
-Can't afford five of them? Don't buy one unless you really thought about it.
- Learn to cook your own food instead of eating out too often.
- If you have a passion & are better than the average => PASSIVE INCOME SOURCE.
- Drinking/smoking/addictions cost you a lot, not only on your health, but also on your money & your TIME. (imagine the constructive things you could have done instead of smoking that cig in the cold 1,2,3,100 times?)
- Being rich != Looking rich. Not uncompatible, but not the same. If you have a fancy car but are forced to live inside, you haven't "made it", you ruined yourself.
- Simple, gentle women are far superior to superficial gold diggers who will vampire your money.
- Time isn't money, it's even more precious than that!
based, me too.

Sucks knowing that a hobo is literally 2.6 grand wealthier than I am
Well of course those "hobos" are wealthier than you. They are smart enough to pay off their debt BEFORE they start investing. Is risk management too hard for your little brain?

I could have deleveraged more aggressively the past few years, but Draghi has just come out and said interest rates will remain low, so I'm still confident about my position.
I don't think hobos like you invest or pay attention to macroeconomic trends, tbqh

Inflation is barely rising with all the money printing. I don't think assuming a deflationary period can happen is unreasonable. If it weren't for the printing, we would already be in a deflation. Also assuming you will have your job and that your "investments" will go up is also risky. You are basically going all in, but go ahead, leverage even more if you want to.

All made without connections too, my parents were poor, I went to college on FAFSA money, and now I'm the richest known member of my family. Still a kissless virgin tho lmao
I typically never go out to anything nice, and almost never buy anything because most of my hobbies involve doing stuff on the computer (gamedev, anime, Jow Forums, porn). I'd say in a typical month I save 40-50% of my income. There are of course a few times when I'd buy something on Amazon or go to a con, but this is usually once every two months and barely puts a dent in my savings. Making $20,000 off of Ethereum helped a lot too when I first left my mom's house.
I guess my advice to you is try being a loser, you'll save a ton of money by almost never going out.
