Military Spending in the United States. In fiscal year 2015, military spending is projected to account for 54 percent of all federal discretionary spending, a total of $598.5 billion.

i thought the prisons in the usa are privately run.

In FY 2019 total US government spending on welfare — federal, state, and local — is “guesstimated” to be $1,179 billion, including $721 billion for Medicaid, and $458 billion in other welfare.

WASHINGTON—U.S. wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and Pakistan have cost American taxpayers $5.6 trillion since they began in 2001

Other than the blacks and Mexicans, and problematic whites, nail seems kind of comfy. Especially if you're waiting on the Golden bull run.

I want to dispel some myths about my brother to some of you guys in silicon valley.
First of all, Stephen was a loner, a part from his girlfriend. He spent more time playing bridge than he spent Christmas dinners with us, as a family. That didn't matter, he was a good man and a very astute judge of character. We never saw massacres as being within the realm of possibility as far as Stephen was concerned. It has blown our minds, as much as it has blown yours. Believe me.
None of us, least of all me, could of seen this coming. It's not everyday an asteroid falls from the sky and annihilates your world and life. Is it?
Stephen was rich. sure, he had two planes. He never wore expensive brands though, he told me once he thought Milton had a place in everyone's lives. I thought he was referring to Paradise but only since he has gone, I now realize my brother was talking about Utopia, which means no place.
I miss my brother guys. I can't define him by one moment of ritual massacre under the eyes of the sphinx. It's just not how I see him... I loved him. I love him and now he is gone.
Please don't tie his memory up with conspiracy.

Why should the people have to pay for criminals, why not put them to work in the mines or something so they end up being a net profit?

>More spent on Prisoners than Education in the USA

Good now triple the amount for prisons so we can rid the school system of the remaining criminals in it.

the real question is why you pay so much for medicaid. protip: it is not because it is inherently so expensive.

Obvious solution. Shorter prison sentences. 6 months and then death penalty for anything over that. Cut education to $0 funding. This is so obvious I don't know why it's necessary for me to say. It's easy to cut unnecessary waste in situations like this.

Stop locking people up for drug charges
legalize drugs
tax them

Colorado reaches billion in annual marijuana sales in record time
denverpost.com/2018/10/.../colorado-cracks-billion-marijuana-sales-recor...

18 Oct 2018 - Marijuana sales in Colorado have exceeded $1 billion as of August of this year, with tax revenue from those sales coming in at $200 million

Amount spent annually in the U.S. on the war on drugs: $47+ billion

Whether you are for its legalization or not, you are paying for marijuana to be illegal. According the Federal Bureau of Investigation, 43.3% of all "Arrests for Drug Abuse Violation" are of people who are in possession of marijuana. Six percent of all drug-abuse violation arrests were for the "Sale/Manufacturing" of marijuana. In other words, a whopping 49.5% of all drug-violation arrests are connected to marijuana. Half of the population that is in prison for substance abuse is in prison for marijuana-related crimes.

I'd rather they stay illegal than be taxed. Can't trust the government to be involved.

UBI

Save 10% per month for nest egg
Spend 10% towards your community

Enjoy 80% for living.

+ your job earnings

Democracy
Individuals choosing to better their communities directly

Fostering respect for positive action
-get cups of tea made for you
-get rewarded for helpig others
-be recognised directly, outside of beauracy

educations need not cost much, we would be better off locking kids in the Library with no wi-fi after about the 5th grade

because muh human rights for the gangbanger rapist who shot innocent shopkeepers, but nevermind your own human rights to decency goy, back to the amazon fulfillment center with you

they are, but prisons get funding from the government. 50K $ per prisoner. kek

Ah, but the military serves a very important function. [spoiler]As a money laundry.[spoiler]

$1000 is nothing but supplemental income. Nothing will change except our taxes, which will go sky high to support this hyper-welfare. UBI is good for one class of people; the nigger class(nigs, beaners, neets.)

Absolutely insane. And then people have the nerve to say $1k/m UBI is somehow the end of the world.

99% of the people locked up for "drug charges" are actually locked up because they were caught with drugs on their person while committing another felony. This is something the media doesn't tell you abd it's also why white people and other minorities seldom get nailed for possession. "Possession" is more often than not one charge out of many concurrent charges

Besides that, if you are caught dealing meth, crack or heroin or something similar you should be summarily executed in a public square

In Australia in 2015, the cost of putting one person behind bars for a year was nearly $110,000. The OECD average was $69,000 per person.

UBI would be an additional 2.7 trillion annually (well over 2/3rds of the entire current federal budget), after VAT and after consolidating other public assistance programs

I'd be pretty delighted to see Americans using their taxpayer money on something other than illegal wars. I can't believe it isn't a crime to pay taxes with the way things are.
$54 of every $100 you pay goes to George W. Bush's made up crusade in the middle east and where ever. Where did things go so awfully wrong?

And how many jobs does the Prison industry create vs the education industry?

If not for prisons and planned parenthood we'd literally be drowning in niggers.

t. Amerimutt

Because boomers want to lock people up for using drugs

Impossible.

>things the military does
>secures the worth of the dollar and transfer of resources to the US
>things UBI does
>pays for retards to sit at home all day complaining how if they were in charge everything would be great, despite everything they touch in their life turning to shit

If you want UBI go join the military and earn your keep. Otherwise exit bags are less than $100, don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.

This is what saluting the flag every morning does to your brain, everybody.

They are put to work. That is the American equivalent of Chinese slave labor. Idiots like you should be in prison working as a slave.

The federal budget is 3.4 trillion, the 700 billion military budget is a lot but it's not "54 of every 100". The US spends 3% of its gdp protecting its and europe's greater economic interests in the middle east as well as providing a bulwark of defense for the western hemisphere in general from potential Eurasian aggression. Europe spends about 1.7% GDP on average which is a lot considering they don't do much, but they're also only able to spend as little as they are because they are counting on American support abd technology should international relations fail.

Make no mistake, behind the scenes the European government wholly supports the US military presence to their south east and have flown many of their own sorties in the region to help facilitate it. They just don't want to pay for it, just like they don't want to pay for American pharmaceuticals, which make up 60% or more of all of the pharmaceuticals created in the world.

The reason for all that is, if the EU had to pull its own weight in NATO as well as pay a market price for american drugs (which would greatly alleviate the burden that's now being passed to American consumers) their own models would be exposed as unsustainably expensive for what they're actually getting-which they've deluded themselves into thinking is a great deal only through being able to compare themselves to the punished US

Mkultra slave contractors?

Defund the military and watch the dollar become worthless overnight. You're literally clueless on how the world works. Your comfy NEET life is guaranteed by tons of metal floating/flying around the world, ready to bomb uppity nations to bits and livestream the leadership getting a knife rammed up their ass repeatedly until they die to remind everyone else to stay in line.

Why are we going into debt to provide gibs to these Euroniggers?

>my understanding of the world is just better
Reminder that 99% of Americans think they're better than average drivers.

>UBI would be an additional 2.7 trillion annually
it would not be nearly that much because it would be taxable income

Mmmm romanesco

you're just a FUD retard. That's all there is. Prove me wrong. (you can't)

Fuuucckkk the US. Never going back there and will travel abroad indefinitely.

blacks and mexicans aren't cheap

most of the welfare is MANDATORY spending

dude russia lmao

Majority of Education spending - like correctional spending - comes from State & Local governments. Dept of Education spending should be compared to Federal corrections expenditures, which are ~$8 Billion from eyeballing the chart in your link.
