I thought with the internet we were immunized to advertising, because anybody can make his own opinion about a products, so why being influenced by external factors? but it still work. It is just a little more subtle.
In a way, guys here falling for this are not different than the redneck in the 80s who bought a car after he saw a billboard advertisement of it on the road.
