if you bought a pokemon blue edition back in the days and didnĀ“t opened it you could sell for 500$ now.
what are the 2019 things which will be very expensive in 10 years?
everytime i think about it i come to the conclusion that everything you can buy now is zoomer tier level shit. i mean..buy a nintendo switch now and sell it 2029? i guess people would laugh about me and they would be right r-right?
If they make some pokemon edition switch get that and the new games any special controllers and put them away for 15 years.

thats a 20 year hold making sure it stays in mint condition and is never in a bad climate that would damage it and I bet it's not easy to find buyers at $500. Plus that game new after inflation probably cost something like $70 in today's money at the time.
the INWO trading card game that gets posted on pol and x constantly will become worth a lot I bet

physical copies of Super Smash Bros Ultimate BotW
Switch still has more years of life left for it's catalog of games to grow. You don't know how many of those new games will become cult classics. Couldn't hurt to hold a few of the consoles as well, although the storage space to % gains potential is less than with the physical game copies.

I'm willing to bet that MDE will develop a significant cult following a few years down the line; akin to trailer park boys, clone high, freaks and geeks, twin peaks, and to some extent, MST3K. Too cutting-edge to be forgotten - especially considering its circumstances

The sealed nintendo games are so expensive because: (1) they came in a shity cardboard box that got damaged just by looking at it. Let a 10yo open it and they will most likely rip the top. While todays games all come in very durable plastic cases. Not to forget the kids that write their names on the boxes or cardridges. (2) the idea of keeping games in MINT condition to keep/increase their value was uncommon. Today every mongo puts "limited" editions and sealed games in their ikea rack and brags about the "investment".
To find something that will have internet value in 10-20 years look for something that is branded and usually gets damaged during regular use.
Not switch but maybe that labo cardboard shit. But either way why give yourself the chore of hanging onto that crap for 20 years when you could just buy a real investment
