Amazon should really screen for mental health when they hire

Are you surprised? This is the same company that tried to put people in literal cages until they got caught.

if i was going to have to work in a warehouse I'd rather sit down in a nice cozy cage than walk everywhere.

hahahah full story pls

Found the fatass on antidepressants

It came out that management filed a patent for a cage to protect workers from machines going haywire, pic related (minus wojak of course). Instead, I believe they ended up going with a design for a vest that shuts off machines if they get too close to the worker. Obviously most companies will overspend on things like patents to secure a broad range of options for technology, but you have to think twice about the humanity of someone who thought it was a passable idea to put workers in cages like this.

Other warehouses have productivity measures too but what makes amazon so bad is that they keep you doing the same thing.
other places realize this and shift you around different departments but amazon - you do the same repetitive thing for 8 to 12 hours a shift 4 to 5 days a week.
Most amazon pickers also walk everywhere. Other places, at least you get to operate machinery
There's also a work culture of managers being jerks at amazon (works it way down from Bezos) so that's why a lot can't handle it. Life is bearable as a warehouse wagie, but not as an amazon warehouse wagie.

Jow Forums will defend this

I swear every time I see this picture more and more shit gets added to it

yeah it's a living work of art, fucking love it.

Imagine working at ups with no climate control for less money an hour. Fucking pussys

Reminder that Amazon put out this dystopian shit.

I really don't understand the big deal about this honestly. If you're just sitting down controlling a machine anyway, what's the difference?

This is like something out of South Park or GTA

I sell things on Amazon via FBA and not gonna lie, I feel a little guilt for sending in my crap and having the warehouse workers sift through it. Feels like I’m eating from their suffering. I try to at least not make the boxes too heavy and to pack the stuff well.

>found the cunt who's never worked in a warehouse

wow they are fucking terrified of unions, huh? I would almost like to see unions become popular again just to see the cope

long Amazon?

The entire point of that job is that they "rush you" to the absolute limit of what can be accomplished.

You are always timed, always expected to improve, which puts the workers in a state of constant psychological/physiological anxiety/stress.

Amazon literally HARVESTS the life from its workers.

Wagecages already exist and they're called VNA Forklifts

The wagey cage is a fucking hilarious meme, this is coming from someone who sits in heavy Equipment as a longshoreman, surrounded by a safety cage. Honestly I feel uneasy when I dont have at least a little metal in between me and the 30 tons of shit Im moving around.
