Being high IQ sucks. It tends to fill you with overconfidence which results in underperformance. I'm trying to work on not being so lazy, and being on this site doesn't help. (Public school tested me in high school because they thought I was autistic) I am a 21 year old natural sciences major with a 3.41 GPA, a girlfriend, 2 close friend groups, a modest network of connections and I helped found a biohacking conference in my city. We're putting on our second biannual conference in the upcoming fall and people from all around the world are attending although there will likely be less than 100 attendees as it's very much filled with people who actually do science not enthusiasts.

I'm a semi-target student from the mid-atlantic. I have an extensive network and had an IQ test, the results suggest I lie somewhere between 120-135.
I'm going into asset management and struggle to take high-school friends seriously when they tell me they want to do anything other than law, medicine, or finance.
This is especially true when I talk to some of my peers at school and they don't have any idea what they want to do.
My reaction is always like, "Shit, that sucks" meanwhile I'm thinking about wallstreetoasis threads and investopedia articles.
