>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy? Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.
Yep If things go well, I'll sell in 2-3 days There's also a risk that it won't go well, and it'll dump AH without me being able to sell Hence why I have a small position
Matthew Garcia
Small position for you is probably different from me.
I'm mostly in cash and still a student.

> I've only put $1100 in the stock market so far The rest is in GALT Is GALT separate from the normal stock market? A shadowrealm of guaranteed 100% profits?
Caleb Flores
Pardon the ignorance but what's ER?
Dominic Anderson
just crash already you stupid super bullish stock market
I have a robinhood account and I shot myself in the foot closing out my positions too early I just don't have enough money to let things sit yet it's frustrating. I loaded up on some T and figured I would sell options against it and do bullshit trades with the divvies.
If I didn't have atvi and ttwo I'd be up better but at least I'm not in the red over the last year I guess
Stay the fuck away from it untill it feels right and certain that it recover.
William Roberts
>forgot schweebâ„¢ Charges 4.95 per trade Fine, I'll sign up for robinhood tonight
Damn good for you. I don't know if I can stomach it at 3.22. Probably just gonna leave my limit order that won't execute cuz it keeps going up.
How'd you guys even find out about this one?
This is what worries me. It may not actually matter if it's just pilot error, fear and panic could win out. And if it requires more pilot training, that's still an extra cost that airlines wouldn't have if it were the same as other planes.
How long will it hold? Bought $6000 shares @ $2.12
Nathan Davis
100 shares, it's gonna skyrocket!
Gabriel Bennett
If I'm right, which 25% of the time is every time, everybody that wanted to fomo into this rally have bought. Nothing left to do but to go back to the 2009 lows.
Leo Fisher
what why buy TSLA
Jacob Watson
>How'd you guys even find out about this one? I've been in since the beginning of Feb I think. Was researching medical stocks and came across this one somehow. Great product, tons of cash and an incentivied sales force.
Listen to this guy Boeing is a very large and heavy knife right now.
Gavin Ortiz
I am completely unfamiliar with the sector. My tax advantaged accounts are all index funds and I've got another taxable account also stuck in index funds. I'd be interested in learning. I mostly see biopharma brought up in these threads.
What would I be looking into? Insurance? Suppliers? Hospitals? I know there has been a lot of consolidation among large hospitals the last decade and I don't think it is going to slow. What kind of macro is there? I'd be worried about some bill completely wiping me out depending on how I'm invested.
Ryan James
because its going to 300 again, its destiny. The issue is the proper entry. Its either here or 260, so I buy here
It's a long position for me. They have high institutional ownership, big insider buys @ $1.75 and credible governance, with promising treatments in the pipeline.
Cooper Flores
nice, is that savings or inheritance
Gabriel Jones
The former. The trick is time in the market and becoming old

you can't buy shares of a lot of big medical groups (hospitals)
you can do something like 20%-25% XBI if you want some healthcare exposure
watch the XBI/SPY ratio at different time scales to decide what your buy-in point should be (hope it makes sense)
TSLA is a house of cards, be careful

My plan is to focus on cancer and diabetes drugs. There are tons of fat, unhealthy fucks all over the world and most governments will subsidize them.
Parker Barnes
I wish mods and staff cared about the quality of Jow Forums. Maybe I'm just a boomer but I miss when meme culture wasn't about trying to one up each other.
I'd love to see low quality crypto threads purged and see the board become about business and finances rather than crypto and wage stories.

VTSAX
bought a lil today

Good for you, finding a real winner and sharing it with us.
But god damn I'm out. Put in a limit at 3.20 and another at 3.15 but it's not dipping that low again today. Thing is going up up UP
Adrian Evans
This better go up.
Evan Gray
>get talked into buying NOG >Falls 30 cents immediately
I suck
Blake Adams
There are still some quality threads out there. Homegrownmen on /diy/ is comfy as fuck
Noah Russell
I like /news/ alright. It is a really slow board. I assume you can discuss any financial news you want in /smg/. I think the one up culture is prevalent across all of the internet you will find it in any trading group at this point. A few certain groups have popularized it and now everywhere is the same. These threads aren't half bad though I don't see all that much jerking over loss porn and the only bad part is the people who want to use trips.
Camden Young
Is GoPro kill?
Daniel Carter
>the only bad part is the people who want to use trips hating on the best part of the thread
Yeah I suppose you're right. I mean, the Internet was always super mean, but never hostile I felt. I just don't think normies and zoomers got the message, and so everyone turned really mean real fast. I suppose I can also blame the rest of us just growing super jaded, but I really can't find anywhere in the Internet that was like that pre-2010 time except a small group of Internet friends.
Either way I feel like this thread is a good example of why we don't need trips and namefags, but that's just me I guess
Thomas Cruz
Praise options and praise red candles on Boeing.

Which companies have good exposure in this area? One thing I've been told to consider is that retirement homes will become more in demand and we will likely have a generation of people who demand more services at them overall. My aunt and uncle own a company that produces medical mattresses for retirement homes and hospitals that reduce incidence of bed sores which reduces care cost overall.
Chase Jackson
The copper charts look really bearish rn but i know i will get liquidated if i push my luck as a trade deal with china can materialize at any time any commodity traders who think it is worth the risk?
Brayden Nelson
Weird strat thread? I plan on buying a bunch of small weed stocks, and holding until a demoshit is elected and legalizes it. Easy, EASY 600 percent return
10-20 percent of your paycheck. If you can't comfortably do that, then you need to budget better or find a new job.
The stock market will not make you rich.
Kevin Brown
FUCK IT I'M IN VSTM 50 shares at 3.25, more limits in place if it goes lower. Verastem let's do this, I don't have enough exposure to healthcare/pharma/bio so this is a good start.
