Zoloft has a lot of interesting side effects that are really great desu. Fixing anti-social disorders is one of them which probably goes hand in hand with depression. I started taking it because of depression and anxiety but then made it hard to get a boner. Doc gave me viagra, said not to worry user. Holy shit, I’m basically a Chad now and I have no sexual anxiety, I literally fuck girls that are even pretty (for sport) and make them feel good because nobody else will. It’s kind of like a social charity I’m providing the way I look at it.

Sertraline was my first anti depressant. I have OCD and dysthymia. It did not play well with my brain. Made OCD worse, which was pretty dangerous as I was already fairly unhinged to begin with. I'm talking one minor annoyance while driving and I was prepared to accelerate to top speed and aim for the nearest wall, type dangerous.
After switching through several different meds, anti depressants and anti psychotics, I wound up on Cymbalta. That was the ticket. Not that it dramatically changed anything. It was just an equalizer that allowed me to sincerely attempt, and benefit from, cognitive behavioural therapy. No longer attend CBT but i'm still on the med.
nice meme but since you have basically explained how useless anti-depressants are you should also know that they cause sexual dysfunction. I don't mean that sexual dysfunction is a possible side effect. I am saying that sexual dysfunction is GUARANTEED to some degree. It could be slim or it could be extreme. It could only last a few months after stopping treatment or it could be permanent, there are no guarantees when you will recover.
Just be aware that this is a risk and anti-depressants are (to a lesser degree) chemically castrating you. If you don't believe me you are welcome to read the clinical trials yourself.

That's because family doctors don't care enough or simply aren't mentally capable of reading between the lines and properly assessing each individual on whether they really need anti-depressants. They go through they same yes or no questions and if you say yes to all of them they write you a prescription. Even if they cared to properly weigh the risks vs reward they couldn't because they either don't know or don't care about the possible side effects or their life altering implications. Its not their problem, its yours and they still get paid. Its best if you can assess yourself rather than getting some drone who was good at memorizing stuff in school to do it for you. Granted you can't be a complete retard.
