Metal thread

I got myself a leaf on the way along with some other coins, anyone else waiting on the palladium bullrun?

Yup got a garage full of catalytic converters

Buy bars you fucking retards. Any normal shop will take them no issue, don't listen to anyone telling you otherwise. Gold ounce coins are maybe forgivable because the cost for premium is marginal above ounce gold bars at that point.

Da fuq you waiting on a palladium bull run for it started 3 years ago at 500$ it is now 1500$ they use it for the same shit they use platinum for. They switched cause it was cheaper. Now it's not. You even know what a bull run is little dog?

I thought the same thing. I actually bought five ounces of palladium at 500 buckaroos and sold at like 800 or so. Thought I did good. RIP

Silver is like my family

I had heard that plat/pal were basically interchangeable in industry, is this really the case?

Might be time to buy some plat...

Yes, even the new palladium-deuterium fusion reactors use platinum for the anode rods. There's no real reason there should be such a massive difference in price. Platinum is also more scarce. And for fucks sake don't spend 2600$ on a palladium round cause it's "collectable"
You're buying a grand higher than its ATH

idk what crab market is along with bear im new

You mean you don't know what a pattern is. You wanna make it in metals? Get a bunch of pre '82 pennies some nitric acid and a steel pipe. Thick wiring from old electronics. Raid Goodwill. Salvage copper/silver your profits will be far greater that way. Buy platinum. Gold I could go either way on. Use as a hedge and hope it doesn't get seized when shtf. I know Jow Forums loves to buy ATH and sell red but damn.

This, explain to me why I should pay a premium for eagles

Palladium bullrun already happened, platinum is really fucking undervalued though. It is rarer than gold but cheaper. I plan on buying some but I gotta stack more silver first

I had 4 or 5 ounces i sold probably 4 years ago. FML.

This is the typical McBurger guide to collecting silver.

Yes, you might get more "bang for your buck" buying generic crap like a 1981 Christmas bar, but if you buy semi-numismatic you are able to sell at a profit a couple of years down the line enabling you to get more silver for your money. Buying coins for a couple of dollar above spot shouldn't scare any serious investor.

t.flipper of coins.

You know a PM bullrun is a 2% change over 5 years, right?

Nice cope. You must spend a lot of time in the serious investors lounge. Where 10$ over spot turns into tens of thousands.

PM is all about wealth retention

Don't be silly burger. Lots of silver bullion will gain way more than what your shitty pawn shop bars ever will. The 1oz Rwandan rhino coins i bought back in 2012 for instance.. dealers charge $100 a piece for them now. How does that compare to your Christmas/Hanukah bars? What about lunars? Don't have to go many years back before you have massive gain on those as well.

Silver eagles, maple leafs, generic bars etc are all shit in terms of value appreciation

Platinum is dirt cheap now compared to gold or palladium. Time to start stacking platinum.

my apple card is titanium

Numis/limited issue are an entirely different market, they're basically collectibles. About the only ones I buy are Chinese Pandas and Ukrainian Michaels, and that's because I find them appealing. Other than that it's generics, eagles, and junk for silver. Mostly francs and sovereigns for gold. Occasionally I'll buy one off neat things for a little spice.

By your logic you should be stacking shekles of tyre and other ancient coins. 20k for 11 grams of deteriorated silver. The shit of it is if silver ever reaches 1k/oz no one's going to give a damn about collectibility

I really want gold and silver to moon but can it please wait until mid 2020? I'm not quite finished stacking.
