Sitting on 780 BAT at the moment. Been sitting on it for a year. During the past year ive began using brave and never regretted it for a second. Better than mozilla and chrome. Plus i have it right in my browser wallet so I know its safe. Future of BAT is looking good.
BAT Ads are in a "trial run" right now, meaning:
1) You can only earn BAT from Ads on the Developer Browser
2) They're still toying around with the appropriate amount of BAT per Ad
3) The ads are still in development mode, and
4) You can't transfer the BAT out of the developer browser wallet.
That being said, you can still earn BAT and donate it. But you need to use the Dev Browser:

Even if BTC does lose the title eventually, I could see BTC being extremely extremely valuable in 30 or 40 years as a collectors item.

I think that's exciting though because it shows how far we have before BAT hits the mainstream, and in my opinion that shows a huge possibility of upward value for BAT. Maybe I'm too exited right now but I think we're about to see some big announcements soon (I hate that I sound like a shill but whatever). I think they want to have v1 rolled out by Q3 at the latest, just in time for the Christmas season. This is the one to hitch your wagon to friends, its going to be an actual moon mission. And I'm not calling other coins/tokens bad by any means, but this is the only beacon of hope in this bear market because the product itself is just really good and being used by people from all technical backgrounds. The price action will follow.

You could also pivot and open up a webdev/ad shop that creates custom games for companies that want to advertise on the platform. That's my next project.
This is what it's all about though. I love seeing Brave/BAT inspire people in the crypto-space to actually create things that USE the cryptocurrency. That's the whole point in the end.
BAT hodlers aren't just buying, hoarding and sitting on their BAT. They're earning, donating, and creating shit. That's why BAT is leagues ahead of so many cryptocurrencies.
