Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.
You can actually do exactly that with options on inverse ETFs if you buy the underlying and then sell calls. Shorting the market only backfires if you're doing it naked.
Same. I still have 11 percent to go and I'll finally have erased my past mistakes.
Probably just gonna keep holding for the time being. Seen all my stocks go higher than they fell, so I think they'll get back to where I need them to. Betting hard on LPTX though.

AU and TSM = ideal smg portfolio
>well diversified (commodities and technology) >short squeeze imminent >underpriced, under valued >good dividends
Ding ding ding! How did everyone do today? I'm up .03%, another flat day with no time to trade. Unsurprising given how many of my positions I've exited, my port is now majority cash again. Keeping it that way tomorrow too at least, going to look at a lot of charts this weekend and maybe find some new longer term buys.
Up .23%. USO is TOTALLY going to bounce HARD tomorrow and Monday SMG being slow is a good thing, the slower the better. Just like the old days on RHG *sips*

Here is my portfolio as we wrap up Q1:
MRRL 11.6% DVHL 10.3% SMHD 9.7% BDCL 9.0% ARCC 8.2% MAIN 8.1% AM 7.2% CNXM 5.9% LMLP 5.6% IEP 5.3% ABBV 4.8% SDIV 4.4% CEFL 4.2% D 4.1% EPD 1.6%
* Had a pretty gay realized loss on UNIT of about $1,400 * DM was bought out and I received shares of D at a 9% discount to their value * AM merged with AMGP. I got equivalent value shares PLUS a nice $2,100 payout * ARCC, MAIN, and CNXM positions added to * Sold for Loss: UNIT, NRZ * Sold for Gain: OHI, PBFX, PEGI
I need that fugging crash... SPTL needs to bounce hard for me to break even.

Great day. Up about 1.5% overall. Planet 13 confirmed breakout and didn't sell off much at all when it hit hourly overbought. Plenty more upside to come on that one.
I'm looking to add to it, but I bought in so fucking low originally and I don't want to jack my cost average up. Wish I had bought more, but I don't go chasing shit. I'll get some when the time is right.

Based Checked You should check out JQC

Th-thanks Very new, getting crushed on biotechs and slowly bleeding on TVIX
Checked back man haha. I hold CEFL which has JPS, the safer sister of JQC. It does look nice, but I'd have to do more research on it to be fair.

I just looked and realized I made almost exactly the same amount today as I paid to mr tax man yesterday. Cool. Today's gain was tax free thanks to leaf TFSA of awesome.
holding TVIX very long term is almost always a losing proposition because of the way it's leverage works, makes basically certain it will decay over time. Lowkey though this might be a good time to be holding it, your portfolio doesn't look bad at all. It'll turn around, you'll be having fun in no time!
by selling at the top on that graph there before it fell :^)

many crypto investors predict that an all time high of $100,000 will be reached at least in the next four years. the highest bitcoin valued was $20,000. it's all artificial hype so that can happen no?
Juan Nelson
Thanks. I certainly hope so
I was aware that leveraged ETFs are bad long term because of theta decay or something I haven’t really researched yet. But I really expected things to be a little more volatile after the inversion.
I guess I don’t know how to trade volatility yet, but maybe it’ll pan out.
Joseph Martinez
CVB went up over 400% today
Kevin Powell
I don't think so, basically the run up on bitcoin was because everybody wanted a piece of these icos and the only way to get them was buy purchasing bitcoins. Now who was in control of the supply of bitcoins? The same people in charge of the icos, so basically the hype momentum and pure speculation of the ico market basically drove the price out of control while average investors basically got dumped on twice. Not to mention it's not like they serve any real purpose.
Carson Roberts
sure, anything can happen. personally, i'd rather gamble on something more reliable like stocks than pump and dump schemes.
look at this board and look at how many shitcoins are introduced daily. look at the the average post quality and mentality behind crypto "investors". they all speak of moon missions and dumping their bags eventually. it says a lot about crypto when its buyers don't even understand the spirit and concept of what crypto was trying to do and only think about converting back to fiat once they've "made it". if you want to buy crypto, then at least stick with bitcoin.
Ryan Price
trading volatility can be incredibly difficult. Some great advice I got from teh profit ages ago is that it's much much easier to short volatility after a spike than it is to predict a lowpoint and go long. With the demise of XIV that's become a lot harder/riskier, especially if you're using only robinhood. Remember not to use the TVIX/UVXY charts to track volatility, pull up a chart of VIX itself on tradingview, much more accurate.
Swing SPXL and SPXS when you’re at your limit then.

I can't believe my short position is going to blow my account up. Literally the only thing that is holding this economy up is that baby shark song. How could I have been so stupid to not understand sooner.
