Dubs decide
Should I drop out of university?
Yeah man, just be a neet and live off of your parents forever.
No.
You'll have a degree with which you'll get a job at least way easier.
Stay there and learn something.
Else, wagecucking will fuck you up
No
Good argument
I´m in good programm as well. Doing Computer Science, with which a lot of people would propaply be happy.
But I can´t stand the thought of wagecucking for someone else after, for the rest of my life.
I´m not really passionate about it neither
Yes. Race way is comming anyway
Degreea don't make the man, but if you easily let the criticism of others define you then this decision is not for you. You will be criticised by those who feel they know better. Pure luck won't prove them wrong. Try looking into transferring first.
If dubs OP puts sharpie in pooper
rolling for yes
no
If American probably not.
If elsewhere definitely not.
So you have no plan if you drop out either?
Stay in school you dolt.
No
Yes
I am elsewhere
makes sense, yeah. But I just feel like I´m wasting my best years and youth here.
get a job and get out
I'm also on CS, I stuck it out, about to finish, and if you are serious about dropping out and it's still early on, I'd say do it. I regret staying, but now I'm already so far in that I might as well see it through.
I´m right in the middle of it at this point.
i have a bs and ms in cs and unemployed. get the as and teach yourself. school is way behind industry
If you don't have any substantial scholarships then you're too stupid to pass and you're paying more than everyone else, if you have a rich daddy who is paying for it then just talk him into using that money (and his connections) to help set you up while you try to find a good job. If you're getting mostly A's and B's and you have a major that's actually useful and doesn't require you to go to graduate school then tough it out and get your diploma.
Based
drop out and just lesrn yourself at home, youll learn more and avoid massive stress from exams that are sceintifically proven to shorten your life by 15+ years. The average uni student lives till age 45
Businesses won't hire juniors unless they have degrees.
>If you're getting mostly A's and B's
not the case
>major that's actually useful
Computer science
>i have a bs and ms in cs and unemployed
Will propaply end up the same.
I honestly see it cming already. I really thik I´m wasting my time, cause this will propaply be the end result.
mid 20, degree, enemployed, full of regret
But if I drop out I will regret it propaply as well at some point
God damn it
That is a good point which I see as well.
I would like to wagecuck for somebody else for a few months/years, really learn something and then fuck off and do my own thing.
At least I don´t have to worry about debt for my studies, which is propaply a great plus for staying.
But still: I waste my best years here.
>avoid massive stress from exams that are sceintifically proven to shorten your life by 15+ years
That´s bullshit. But yeah, the stress is fucking real. Unbelievable.
The only people who get employed after CS are those with a genuine passion for programming. I personally cannot comprehend how you can be passionate about writing code for some company that you knows makes 100x more than your salary. Freelancing / working for yourself is the only type of work I'd be interested in when it comes to CS, but it's pretty tough to get into.
drop out and invest in pepes fren
pepecoin/memetic
buy coinmetro
this !
How old r u? I thought about dropping out when I was like 20. Some years later I was glad I didn't. But then, university is free here. And now I'm gonna drop out, like 15 ect's away from a degree, anyways. It's worthless for me now
take a massive loan and move to philippines
then go full brenton tarrant
check em
OP here
I'm 25 now
And university is free here as well.
What was the thing that made you drop out now? Did you start your own Business?
Do it pussy
CS is in a downhill trend. Too many people going to code and too few of them are getting real skills
Almost a quint
i dropped out of uni a few years ago...this year i became unemployed and i have 20k in debt that isn't student loans. ironically probably in the same position as if i had stayed in uni but without the knowledge or degree...feels bad
take more loan move to russia
come back and go full brenton tarrant
check
I tried wageslaving. I will never wageslave again. Absolutely not.
I'm going to start freelancing on upwork as soon as I get my wordpress skills in order. And degrees on upwork? I'll just lie if they ask and seem to care.
No study you stupid faggot and get off of biz
Yes. Take what you have left of college gibbs and put it into Chainlink then retire within a year
double major,
Programming meme plus Trading degree, minor in hindi
okay bitch, I am the maximum authority about university because I'm 31, I failed university 3 times (thank god it's cheap here) and nobody suffered for university so much as I did outside of those who ended up killing themselves.
First, what is the purpose of a degree? The main purpose is getting a license to work in a closed profession and signal employers that you have the license to do so.
Now that you know this, you have to ask yourself: what are your real abilities? If you are a stupid cunt like I was, you would push trying to finish a degree you hate or you're not good at.
If instead you are a smart person, like me going back 12 years with the current knowledge, you would do something interesting enough and that you would finish easily.
So, how to do university:
>do something that you like
>do something that it's reasonable easy for you (if you study and don't progress, stop)
>get the degree and use it as privilege
Don't be a stupid ass like me wasting his 20s studying like a bitch with the best books, courses and tutors while not learning enough to complete his studies.
Do something you're good at.
Yep, its a waste of time (and Ive got a seven year degree in architecture)
Go to university IF you have a solid path or are passionate about a subject you are naturally good at. DO NOT go to college with a half assed idea of what you want to do, or go in to "figure it out" or "just get a degree" or you will get fucked in the ass. Too many kids are pushed to college/universities straight out of highs school without any insight into the real world. Universities then sell you a lie, so they can racketeer money from gullible idiots. Do your due diligence, there is no rush to go to university straight out of high school.
>The main purpose is getting a license to work in a closed profession
Checked. I realised this as well already
>what are your real abilities?
Good question. I like Accounting and Consulting and could see myself doing that. But never being a programmer or Software engineer.
I also have an agriculture degree and thought about going abroad with this and work somewhere else. But this would be somehow complicated and I would be stuck on a farm all the time.
>you would push trying to finish a degree you hate or you're not good at.
Yeah that's what I'm trying to do. But so is like one third of my semester. Maybe this makes it "normal" for me.
>Do something you're good at
Like I said, I still don't know what I'm good at. I would love to find out and do it. Also I care about money. I can't really ignore that fact when picking my goal.
I'm thinking about pushing through somehow and then have at least something to show. But on the other hand I'm afraid that it will be totally useless in the end
You're totally right user. Thanks.
But the thing is, I'm 25 already and also had some insight in the real world already. And it's pretty fucked up.
Let's put all the idea of money aside:
For sure I wouldn't do what I'm doing right now. But 'follow your passion' is a meme as well. Apart from that: CS is the thing I hate the least. I see myself more in Accounting, but I despise the idea of getting a degree in it, because it's just writing down what you read in books 1:1 and then get a grade on how you good remembered it.
The agriculture thing in which I have a degree as well, is described here: Fuck, I just don't know what to do.
I just don't want to end up regretting 4 years of my life.
embarrassing
Get your degree and get into accounting regardless. Stop letting your degree limit what you can do, do some accounting classes or anything related and get an internship. Do not give up until you land one, the more persistent you are the better.
Yes, stop wasting money lad.
Exams are only stressful if you don't study.
>Get your degree and get into accounting regardless
Yeah I thought about that often already. But I can just hope that it works out.
I'm also taking some classes there as well already and doing some group projects in Consulting and stuff
