lmao

no it's currency (at least in my country) in cucked countries it's a commodity.

>at least in my country
lol, what kind of curry country is that? And please tell us about the definition of currency

hungary, the definition of currency is where the local irs says it's a currency and you pay taxes like other forex operations. the only thing special about it is you can mine it which is also taxed.

I feel btfo now. Good for you and hungary

A currency is a legal construct. It means money that is legally recognized by the state to be used for payments. Since Bitcoin is not that, but is essentially just system of digital tokens, it is not legally considered a currency.

To most it would seem like a purely semantic distinction, but going forward, jurisprudentially (is that a word) this type of classification becomes important.

>It means money that is legally recognized by the state to be used for payments
not exactly currency is only money if it's legal tender. currency being the broader definition here.

Well not quite. Japanese Yen is not legal tender in say Sweden or the US, yet it's still a currency. So you could say that a currency is money that is recognized and defined by governments, regardless of its legal tender status.

I am not a lawyer or an economist though, this is just my understanding.

Vitalka Buterkin needs some of dat savageness or he end up forgotten and Ethereum ded

no are you retarded? money is a currency that is also legal tender.

>he's too dumb to realise diet is 80% of health
>he thinks doing meme workouts 3 times a week is enough

ol bitch tits is never gonna make it

did the faggot had a brain hemorrhage finally?
of course bitcoin is a cryptocurrency. the difference between the fiat currency and cryptocurrency is cryptocurrency has the laws of mathematics and consensus governing it's issuance and acceptance instead of laws of a country.

also he uses the word evidence but that's just wrong in the context. it's proof. not evidence. proof of knowledge of a secret is not an evidence to identity or previous knowledge of said secret. also being able to trace transactions and use them as evidence in an investigation to track identity is not proof of said identity beyond plausible deniability.

I love this man

it's what he mean, and technically he is right. if you want to keep calling it a cryptocurrency go ahead. i know i will.

again taking everything at point blank. when you're using the blockchain you do leave a chain of what can be used as evidence of events when looking back. the guy invented bitcoin, cut him some slack if he doesn't use the exact correct terminology sometimes.

also regarding that image i'll just leave this url here
dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/currency

yes, yes you FEEL that money is currency. it's okay. but now you know what he meant when he said that bitcoin isn't a currency yet. also sure you could argue that it is a currency in your specific country but stones could be a currency in the middle of africa and it won't make stones currency to the rest of the world that craig is part of.

>and technically he is right
no
>again taking everything at point blank
yeah logic crypto and math kinda works like that
>the guy invented bitcoin
lol no
>cut him some slack
lol no
>if he doesn't use the exact correct terminology sometimes
he is either purposefully using incorrect terminology because he can't stop fudding non-stop or he is an imbecile. you decide...

>money is currency
money means currency*

i've read your reply

>yes, yes you FEEL that money is currency
no money is a currency that is also legal tender, that is what makes it money in a country. everything else that is only a unit of account is currency. it's not hard and nothing to do with feelings. in the us only the usd is money. but the euro and yen is undeniably currency. in my country bitcoin is legally a currency but not money. this is very basic shit.

if 99% of all bars in my city accept round, smooth stones as a medium of exchange for drinks does that make it a currency? of course not. it's a local form of money. you can SAY that it is local currency but that's not the definition of the word. that's just what craig meant. of course you don't have to be literal simply because he is, people will still understand what you mean if you refer to bitcoin as a currency (and yes in your country it might actually be one).

Attached: roger3.jpg (710x759, 65K)

of course there is a bit of problem with the terms being historically interchangeable and had different definitions through the centuries. some retards do explain the terms with each other. but the modern approach is more consistent. money is actually kind of an anachronism not considered accurate enough for above reasons.
currency including sovereign currency, foreign currency and crypto currency is the broadest definition existing. because it grabs the unit of account and medium of exchange aspect of what common folks call money. but money is also used a a synonym of general wealth to confuse matters even more. someone having a "lot of money" does not mean he holds a large amount of currency. shit is a clusterfuck historically that is why it pays to be precise.

good god man stop talking about craig u fucking creep

>if 99% of all bars in my city accept round, smooth stones as a medium of exchange for drinks does that make it a currency?
if it's a legal unit of account and a medium of exchange then yes.

in that post there is zero mention of creg you cuck!

youre in every craig thread u loser lmao

i try

agreed. alpha chad af. even if he is larping as satoshi, who cares. the guy doesn't give a fuck and loves rocking the crypto boat and making all the dweebs and nerds squeal and cry.

Attached: worldburn.jpg (800x450, 49K)

>if it's a legal unit of account
that's was my point. it's not a currency, just like bitcoin. it's just stones. but it is accepted money, just like bitcoin.

Attached: roger.jpg (1080x1080, 291K)

yeah i was thinking about money for it to be currency legality is not required my bad.

>but it is accepted money, just like bitcoin
bitcoin is not money it's currency. learn the fucking difference already! see pic related i made it for brainlets to understand!

yep. when you've made it and have a billion dollars and realize that people suck and the world is a fucking joke, why not help burn it all to the ground.

Creg Satoj will be in prison this time next year.
Change my mind.

money: unit of account and medium of exchange that is legal tender (and is preferably a reasonable store of value in common use and durable enough in physical form non perishable and stuff like that)

currency: unit of account and medium of exchange

what makes currency money is use and acceptance as money.

why not help make it better or just chill the fuck out and enjoy life?

bitcoin set out to be an electronic version of money. it of course strives towards becoming accepted as currency too. in some parts of the world it is already recognized. the end.

(side note: BTC strives towards becoming an electronic store of value not meant to be used by poor people, the goal of being digital p2p cash has been abandoned)

Attached: toys.jpg (1024x936, 131K)

BSV threads are for Western European men of property (possibly larping as pajeets) and based Asians only.
Fuck off, namefag. BSV is the best of the three forked bitcoin ledgers and there is no way you will ever be able to wrap your untermench brain around that fact.

Attached: disdain4plebs.jpg (400x462, 26K)

>bitcoin set out to be an electronic version of money
yes but there is a critical difference between the money bitcoin set out to be and the money we have today. the way money is changed a great deal during history currently all money is fiat currency but we also had gold as money at one time, and the next step in money is zero sovereignty of any authority in issuance and zero control over acceptance. it will all be voluntary and consensus based. we are just not there yet. so right fucking now bitcoin is not money. but it could be the new money.
>in some parts of the world it is already recognized
yeah this is one of those rare exceptions when my country is not the most retarded.

u mad sv cuck?

>its a fork of a fork
>BSV is the real bitcoin
>muh creg satoj

listen to yourselves, its like you are children that dont understand that EVERY SINGLE FORK IS A FUCKING SCAM

srsly kys

every non-consensus fork is a scam yes

you can't make it better, because you're dealing with 8 billion roaches. and when you're high iq, high energy chad, sitting on a beach all day ain't gonna cut it. you gotta fuck shit up.
