You'll get locked out of your coinbase account. It just happened to me about a week ago, and they aren't updating me on what their "security specialist" is up to. Realistically all I need to do is send a picture of me and my passport doing something they ask of me, or something like that. So they don't need a "security specialist"
Bros I have a lot of chainlink in cold storage (i can sign a message), and I only used coinbase as a simple savings account by buying ETH with my debit card. So this isn't going to hurt me, but I am thinking about all you guys who may have like 10 ETH locked on coinbase. I actually started with 10 ETH and got to where I am now, so I will not stand for this kind of treatment for anyone else trying to make it in life. I know how hard life can be, and crypto has saved me in a lot of ways.
What should I do bros? I think they don't realize I'm a dual-citizen. So I can excercise my rights on American Soil, because I was born there. The US healthcare system took my mother from me at birth. I literally cannot be touched on God.

I got banned from coin base and they basically made it so when I next logged in I had to enter a wallet for each coin and the funds were send off Coinbase.
Really sucks because Coinbase was the only place I could use debit and instantly get withdrawalable crypto

Yeah it was the fastest transfer I ever had from Coinbase but they gave zero information about why I was banned and their TOS says they don’t have to.
Makes me worry they reported me to the feds tho

Did you have some sort of IP restriction on your account? I’m not aware of any but like I said I’m banned and it’s been a few months so that may be new

I'm not sure what an IP restriction is desu. but basically I forgot my password and resetting it is fair game but it didn't work because my devices aren't recognized by them. I thought maybe because I threw ubuntu on my laptop and then mac OS again, but i tried my iphone and it still didn't work. i was just in my account like two weeks before to make my monthly purchase mind you. All I did was autistically forget my password becasue I mentally remember so many (I don't trust password managers)

Oh I see. Yeah Coinbase did have like a white list type system for devices now that I think about it if I ever used my VPN I had to check an email to get access.
If you just tried to do a password reset from a non whitelist device they might have put an auto lock on your account for security.
How many days has it been or is this just like within the last few minutes

5 days nothing heard back no reassurance no explanation of why this could have happened. They aren't treating me as innocent until proven guilty. It's alienation in the truest sense of the word. I didn't feel as though I have a chance to get my money back. Thanks for telling me that was the likely outcome btw. I wonder why they didn't just tell me: worst case scenario we'll try to contact the real you to send the funds your way
