I want to sell my S&P500 index funds and buy 21 BTC while I can still afford it. But my GF won't let me, how do I convince her?

>muh internet monies

Just get 1 BTC you faggot, Bitcoin is an all or nothing scenario

Either it will moon to parabolic levels or it'll stay at a few thousand and be traded by Neets forever.

1 Bitcoin will be enough if it takes off

>But my GF won't let me, how do I convince her?
you tell her you'll lick her boots extra clean for the rest of the year and that you want her to only use the knotted whip instead of the regular on you from here on out.

> My gf has a say in my financial matters
Well there's your problem

KEK

Who owns the money? Did she contribute to it at all? How long have you guys been together, live with each other? I'd do it in a heart beat

>But my GF won't let me, how do I convince her?
Is ANY of it her funds?
> how do I convince her?

Tell your gf that I said it's fine. You can go ahead and do it.

She didn't contribute but I didn't know what to invest in and she is big into warren buffet so she told me about the whole S&P500 and hodl for 30 years thing thats what we did. So when I asked her about maybe switching it up she got extremely irritated because that wasn't the plan and everything. Then I approaching like maybe we sell the stock and pay off her student loans or something cus the interest rate is like 6%, and she was more open to that now I just have to switch over to well maybe we should invest in bitcoin but I need to think of the argument to convince her.

Hey OP, i sold most of my stocks and shares and index funds to buy 15 btc. I didn't tell my wife. I'm already up on profits that I would have had to wait for years to materialize if i kept the money where it was. You cant let your gf keep you back when it comes to decisions like this. Don't be beta.

Same. Cashed in my work shares to go all in link at 19¢. Wife is blissfully unaware. Will just buy her a house eoy.

> I'm gonna pay off her student loans instead
> of leaving my money in VTI for 30 years
> or buying a shitload of BTC
You're making a great choice for her

fuck no i'm not actually paying off her loans, I already got her refinanced so the payments are manageable, it just calmed her down when I told her I sold it. But the money is will be in the bank soon then I got to convince her by then.

You don't have to convince her of shit, tell her you appreciate her insight on ibdex investing and that one day you'll be back on that plan, and maybe by then she'll be your wife and thus has a say, but it's your money and she needs to respect that.

-Oh boy, YIKES! It is your choice not hers lmao, she is riding your coat tails my friend. She can provide advice, but can't force you to do anything. -If you really want to take her consideration into account, spend half of it on BTC and keep the rest as is.
-One last thing, she literally was okay with spending it on paying off HER debts, but not okay with BTC..? She seems to not even have the slightest clue of it's potential, I mean she's big on Buffet, the man who uses a flip phone and hasn't touched tech stocks or crypto!
Obvious choice here my friend, you clearly know what to do

>paying off your GF’s student loans
KEK, if it’s your money do what you want beta. I can tell you right now if you don’t wear the pants in the relationship you will get cucked or be miserable. The fact you offered to cash out your stocks to pay for her student loans should be a sign you need to re-evaluate your actions man.

go buy 35 ETH and get ready for proof of stake uwu

I thought buffet held Apple?

fwiw most of the older people holding significant money in index I know already sold their early into 2018 and still haven't reentered for various reasons
if it's a significant portion of your net worth there are probably some legitimate reasons for selling or diversifying.
putting all your money into crypto is a surefire way to lose sleep though. it's completely untested and who knows what the fuck will happen to it once the big one rolls in.

also
>She didn't contribute
what does she do with her income if she has one?
>Then I approaching like maybe we sell the stock and pay off her student loans or something cus the interest rate is like 6%
jesus fuck how long have you been living with her
does she even pay her own loans right now?

why do you say "we" when its your money

And lost billions on it. Warren is a moron.

He does

ditch her and get a new one when you've made it
