I probably make more than 95 percent of my graduating class as an engineer but that is not saying much.

From some no name province in Canada, people don't make it where i'm from.

off the top of my head, i don't know anyone i went to high school with that made millions.

there's 1 guy i kinda know that works for some financial firm. wears suits. seems set.

a few guys i know are managers for restaurants.

a few started their own labor business (fencing, concrete, etc.)

know a lot that went to college and got pretty decent jobs in the medical field. these are the ones that usually marry well too.

but most work a blue collar job. i know some that are still degenerates and are either unemployed or work at a fast food joint.

i work a blue collar job, but i fucking love it. but one thing that sets me aside from most of my friends is that i invest and save money. nobody i know invests, unless they are a nurse with a vanguard 401k. in that case, they are the only ones above me as far as financial success (or so i like to believe).

I miss highschool. I don't like that the world/system forces/brainwashes the people you form strong bonds with growing up to have to go separate ways to try and survive and make it.

I went to high school with a midget. Not just any midget, but one with a ten inch dick. Not even larping...he was one of those midgets that had stubby hands and feet but otherwise looked fairly normal with a monster dick. Used to walk around the lockers naked, loved walking in and out of the showers all the time. Thank god I only had the same gym class as him only one year, he was insufferable and I was tall and skinny with an acorn dick hidden in my bush and I hated taking showers. Turns out when I graduated college I met up with his younger sister and she told me he died of aids a few months earlier... Ha, that'll learn him but I'm still fairly broke, but alive, so thats my story. Oh yeah, one girl I knew married some rich older dude, like 40 years older, so she's set.

School was easy shit to me. I didn't even try hard. I wasn't in any "group" so to speak. The thing I miss most was that I went before camera phones came in vogue. To think of all the stuff I coulda done with one before they cracked down in them.

No way in hell I'd go back to school now. All the dumb ass shit they make you do to graduate on top of the normal classes is just nuts. The irony is that 50% of it you won't use once your out. Want to figure out some basic math problem? Whip out your phone and solve it. V.S in school (least when I went) they made you do the shit out long hand on paper.

School sucks. Administration doesn't give a fuck about you. All they care about is the dollar amount they get per kid they can cram inside. Few teachers were hot as hell though, a lot the girls were stuck up bitches who thought the world revolved around them. Now I think most of them are loaded down with kiddies. Once I got out I left that place behind. Moved to a different county.

One guy I went to school with was borderline retarded. Two years out of high school and he almost went to jail for stealing out of the register at his work.

Fast forward three more years and he takes a job in Australia as the national salesman for a pet supply company that didn’t have any presence there. Made a couple million and retired before 30. True story /biz

Made great grades in high school and got a degree in exercise physiology. Was on my way to PT school. But I decided to become a dive instructor and guide for a diving charter in south florida. Make a pitiful 38,000/year instead of the potential 6 figure salary but I fucking love my job. Would never go back.

Maybe I'm just coping, but I think happiness is a better indicator of success.

I'm 31 and all my HS classmates seems to have went low key on social media and kinda just disappeared.

They were all very active age 18-25 but now nobody posts much and I have to infer not everyone is doing that well.

My best friend from high school an heroed shortly after we graduated, another one robbed money from my home when I invited him and never heard from him again.

My other friend killed some nigga in a shootout, I think he joined the military some time later. Don’t know about the rest, but I doubt any of them had any significant achievement.

And me? I’m a severely underpaid web developer, I’m doing a talk about javascript on a web develoment conference in a couple of weeks and I’m sure most people who will be there earn more than me

I went to school and was actually really good friends with an NBA player up until a few years ago when I essentially stopped talking to all my old friends because of depression/anxiety. He made about 70 million dollars and is retired now

I'm not doing significantly better than my peers. I have ~$150k in my 401k, $60k Roth IRA, $180k in cash (Saving for apartment downpayment in NYC) and make $150k/year at age 26.

I got a full-ride to a top 15 university and have no debt aside from a few hundred in credit card bills. It also doesn't hurt that I live with my mommy and daddy.

My parents started putting money into my 401k and my Roth IRA at age 18.

I passed 5 actuarial exams in college and obtained my ASA before starting my actuarial job, so my starting salary was already at $110k.

I passed the remaining 3 exams to get my FSA, which bumped my salary to $140k at age 24.

I always maxed out my 401k and my roth IRA.

My biggest expense is coffee (2 $5 lattes every working day). I don't pay rent, I don't pay for lunch (Mom makes me chicken salad for lunch), I don't pay for dinner, I don't pay utility bills, so even when I'm maxing my 401k and my Roth IRA every year, I stilll sock away $80k/year.

Depends how you define success. Financially I'm probably doing better than the majority of them. A lot are married or engaged and have kids and I've been single since high school, so I'm probably a little behind the curve in that department.

literally me but I've lived on my own for years. they have no idea I make 120k/yr in a flyover zone but probably think it's half that. and I have 64k in crypto so I'll be a millionaire in 5 years.

Most of the girls I knew from HS are currently either working in modeling or are photographers.The guys are mostly just in college or selling weed on the streets or something like that. Hell, even some who I remember that are still in HS are already making more money than I ever did when I was their age.
Currently I'm a teacher's assistant making about 45k a year, and while they're probably making more than I make selling pictures and getting ads in one day, I'm still content nonetheless.
