Teacher here. I delegate to student so I'd say less than 15 hours of actual work per week. I sometimes teach 48 paid hours a week.

idk like 3 hours
i work overnight security at a hotel. i don't really do shit i just watch anime on my phone

5-10
And Jow Forums said web development is shit.

Blows my mind that teachers browse Jow Forums. But then I remember the "early education" whores on Tinder and it's not so surprising anymore.

real actual work

>about 7 hours a week

i rarely work over 40 hours

I'd say about 8-10 if I tallied up all the actual work time, although I'm in my job 40 hours a week.

work in government in an admin type role.

this year it's about 40-50 hours per week, pretty brutal since we're going through a large acquisition. previous years it was 15-20

60 hours a week at the minimum

like 45. business owner. busy as shit

Maybe 38/40. Actually keeping busy as my coworkers laze about has gotten me a newer position where I work by myself in a secluded part of the company with a computer and AC. I can sense the hours of work going down.

Seriously a robot could do my job so much more efficiently and quicker.

If I could program one into doing my job and sell it to the government, I'd definitely do it.

POG Officer in the military here. I’d say 10-15 hours of actual work per week. And that is mostly just delegation.

Run a small saas company. 25 hours

7 or 8?

probably about 15-20

8-10 for ~45hr weeks. Partly because I'm lazy, partly because I automated my tasks without telling anyone, and partly because my boss assumes I'm retarded and gives me all week to do 30min things. I spend more time job hunting after work than I do working at my current position.

I've also considered applying for work at home jobs, then outsourcing them to freelancers.

Cold calling jobs is the first one I thought off.

Literally 40

Maybe...three?
And that time is spent making work for others. I mean “delegating”.

I used to do like 10, but they moved me to a different division where I have to do 30.

30 maybe

I work 50 hours a week on average

Jesus Christ. What are you, a resident?

I do research at the library

For the purposes of this discussion, being homeless and jacking off doesn't count as work.

15-20 plus 5-8 hours of meetings

2-3

15 hours

I was hired to work 40 hrs, so that's the amount of hours I work. I want to make sure and make my boss happy. She hired me for a reason and that reason is because I'm the best worker. I'm not some lazy bum who wastes corporate time. I've actually reported some of my coworkers or doing that. You go to work to work and make your employer happy, not jerk around acting like a bunch of dumb fucks.

40 but I spent most of it on Jow Forums on my phone

Are you fucking Japanese?

stuck at the office for 45 hours but i do about 4 hours of work total. The rest is watching baseball on my phone and shitposting here

This but replace Jow Forums with final fantasy tactics

if the organization does not hold itself accountable to it's own Code of Conduct at the managerial level and turns a blind eye to corrupt practices, why should I care?

work in health industry. its fucked beyond repair.

What do you dev anons think about learning JS, HTML, CSS, node.js as a newb in order to get a dev job. I have a good self learning plan set and have started my studies.

>t. sharepoint dev
Overwhelmingly based. Worth even touching? I've heard stories

Probably about 1-3 hours per 8 hour shift

If you're fine with most jobs being in govt consulting, yeah. I've also gotten pretty good at front end web dev, since SP can be used for building full scale apps if you know your way around JavaScript and stuff

So 0 hours a week? You literally never do any work, at all?

I work 40 hours a week, I generally ddo actual tasks maybe 20 hours a week.

>at least 1.5 hours a week is spent taking a shit
>about 6 hours a week researching and buying crypto
>4.5 hours spent cocking around on the internet
>5 hours spent eating lunch
>the rest bullshitting with co-workers and ducking out earlier than scheduled

However, Ive earned a promotion so I have a feeling Ill probably be getting closer to about 30 hours of actual work a week.

Like 60 hours. I'm a business owner so it makes no sense not to do actual work when I'm working. My work hours are slowly decreasing as my business is becoming more stable. I'll probably be working 50 hours in one year. I could hire someone to take care of some of my management work but I haven't found anyone who's talented enough and I feel like I can trust.

Literally 1-2 hours a week. More than $130k/yr salary + bonus.
I feel like I'm wasting my life, every time I try to actually do some work, nobody cares or uses it.

50 at least, do 60-70 a week

Oh, I'm in the office probably 30 hrs every week. Just sitting around in an open space in front of a screen.

What's your job? Or what work do you do that nobody cares about or uses it?

I'm supposed to be a data scientist. But got hired because some high up boss thought that it's good to have one around. I'm in a "business development" department of a huge company.

This thread depresses me and makes me realize what a mistake I made in my career choice

t. A resident who worked non stop for 12 hours today and didn’t eat my first meal until 7 PM

1) People do appreciate what you do. Even shitbag GOMER patients.

2) Hours drop after residency and, if that's not enough, you can always switch to non-practicing medicine-related stuff.

3) You're frontloading work hours. Barring crypto moon missions, most people ITT will work for decades longer or be more than a million dollars poorer than you.

get back to work ronnie

there was only one person I've ever worked for that was actually worth doing that for. I feel like it depends.

80 to 95

I'm at my office 45-50 hours a week, but spend about 3 hrs a day dicking around. So 30 work hours per week, 15-20 dicking hours to keep up appearances. And then about 10 weeks a year are trips to customer sites where I actually have to work 50 hr weeks. Healthcare software company.

Work for my employer? Like 4 or 5 hours a week. Work on my house? Like 30 hours a week.
I make $120k a year in a low cost of living area. Life is good bros.

Around 2

I have to do the work of 2 people, so 70-80

Probably like 15 out of the 40 I'm supposed to work. I made a lot of macros and scripts unlike the brainlets I work with.

i would like to say 20 but it's more like 10

10 minutes/week but I work and I'm paid as I do 40.
I'm a IT guy in a school. I really don't do nothing all day. I browse biz, trade crypto and play videogames. For real.
I get called like once a day for jobs like "my internet is not working" so I plug in the ethernet cable. Or "the sound of the PC doesn't work", so I go there and turn on the speakers.

I seriously tought about killing myself but in 2 years hopefully this hell will be over. It's just an apprenticeship

0

you could learn coding and freelance as a sidegig if you hate doing nothing

Wagie job is 28 hours/week. Removing naps, official breaks, unofficial breaks, trading on my phone, reading, uh, maybe 6 good solid hours of actual work per week? Part of that is just the nature if the job. I have to be there in case of problems. Problems are rare.

My income consists of this part time wagie thing and part time trading (both stocks and crypto).

30-40
overnight stocker

exactly as many as im getting paid for, and im considering myself underpaid

you want to kill yourself when you are living the fucking dream?

just do online courses until you are marketable - 2 years of coding 2-3 hours a day is enough to set yourself on a 150k+ salary path

living the dream?
600$/month to be in a office browsing this retarded board? for 5 fucking years, just to be able to have a job when I'm done with this?
Your dreams are very poor user

Busy week probably 15-20 hours.

Quiet week like this week and the last few? Probably less than 4.

This week I've worked for about 1 hour but that work was really mostly just being present on a call.

Business analyst, €500/day

Can you code? If not learn how to and write yourself a crypto trading bot or some utility for yourself you can shill to others. Hell make a simple game and put it online, profit from ad revenue or sell microtransactions.
Look for other ways to make money while "at work". Are you trading stocks/indices? Learn how to invest into bonds etc.
You have the fucking dream dont waste it by playing shitty games all day. If I were in your place I'd bring my guitar to the office and record an album demo there.

? I never said working a shitty IT job is a dream, I said you're in a position to spend all your time building marketable skills while getting paid to do so

didn't know your salary was third world tier though

Retard the dream is that you're paid for doing nothing. You can "reinvest" that time into other source of revenue.

Uni student, so I’m talking about studying not work. On an average week I’d say 2-3 hours (not counting classes). During exam session about 30 hours.

Less than 10 probably. I get paid $70k.

28 probably

normalfags need guidance and structure in their life, so this doesn't help him. if you give a normalfag freedom he unironically reaches for the rope

>give all my work to interns
>sit on Jow Forums all day
>HR says if i keep visiting "offensive websites" I will face "severe punishment"
>quit the next day

Early childhood Ed thots are second only to nurses in slutty professions.

Imagine being this indoctrinated. You’re a weak minded cuckold.

Probably 2-3 hours of tech support.

well at least I'm not a lazy incel. If I was your boss, I'd have you fired.

I used to do maybe 3-4, but I got a new job and now I'm doing a good 30. I don't even hide in the toilet for three 20min shits per day any more, and I actually feel like I have more energy after work.

20-25, part of the downtime is because our company data infrastructure is so shit & the sections relevant to my job are so neglected that any scripts I have to run end up taking 40+ minutes just to query all the relevant data.

10 hrs a week
I work 50-60, eventually 60-70

Document control for a gas construction site

18/hr 27/hr overtime, plus a benefit of 90 per day.
So really, technically 27/hr 36/hr

I just shitpost play vidya, and do reports.

16 max. Some days 0. Many days less than 2. I have automated my own job.

Learn react.js and php-laravel if you want access to easy web jobs. If you learn node, you might end up working at a startup that has expectations.

Thank you user, Should I add those two and continue learning node? I know it goes hand in hand with javascript. So far I'm having fun learning JS

32-35 which is less than everyone else but they spend work time talking and end up doing unpaid overtime to make it up.
