We aren't rich. We are an artificial country propped up by debt. California is impoverished. Massachusetts sustains itself via government money. Massachusetts economy is made up of military defense contractors like Raytheon, so essentially funded by inflation and tax dollars. Most of the rich in Massachusetts work in academia or bureaucracy Also all of Massachusetts wealth is in the greater Boston area. The rest of the state is basically a mini rust belt
Chase Young
Anyone with a good job in Massachusetts is a teacher, a cop, a firefighter, works for a defense contractor like Boeing or Raytheon, or works in the health field. All of these are obviously completely or at least mostly government subsidized. Massachusetts existence is stealing money from the other 49 states.
Landon Diaz
Resources and guns a lot of guns
Christopher Nguyen
Lots of natural resources helped to industrialize the US when it was still a 3rd world country and the founding fathers set us up with a really good foundation.
After that it is because of capitalism. Basically a survival of the fittest but money is the index of survival. Survival is the most inspiring feeling in humans so it is natural that forcing people into a constant feeling of life or death will yield the most results.
Logan White
Lol this. Massachusetts is a massive bureaucratic machine and always has been and unfortunately the only jobs left for intelligent people involve being a parasitic public sector employee, and there's no better place to get a cozy government job than Massachusetts where government money is thrown around like confetti. All of the high IQ people pour into lower New England because there's very little productive industry left for intelligent people to utilize their skills and naturally they'll gravitate towards the best they can get which is becoming some shithead bureaucrat or alternatively becoming an engineer and building weapons systems for Raytheon so the neocons can continue bombing Arabs and Pakis for Israel.
Robert Morales
also two world wars with no need for rebuilding their cities, that lead to control over the oceans and the rest of the west being in debt with them
Europe isn't a country, don't treat it as such. Stats of well developed countries look shit if you throw in the likes of Italy and what used to be behind the iron curtain. Countries like The Netherlands outperform the US on almost all indicators, without having the benefit of scale.
Cameron Hill
Large swathes of the US are at or near third world shithole status...by demographics, infrastructure, and quality of life.

William Gutierrez
white people + big ass country full of resources = prosperity no matter the system
Owen Martin
>also two world wars with no need for rebuilding their cities, that lead to control over the oceans and the rest of the west being in debt with them
This. Huge headstart to Europe after the wars after that it's basically the rich getting richer effect.
Anthony Sanders
Why? We are simply the most advanced society on the planet and possibly the universe
Samuel Carter
despite what reddit might tell you US urban planning is an order of magnitude more efficient than European
Driving in old cities is often a nightmare but the unique angles and intersections make architecture so much more charming. Its a blessing and a curse
Angel Murphy
Yes and you know why? Because US cities have no heritage, no culture. They were built from scratch. They didn't grow organically.
Michael Ortiz
New York is full of culture and has quite a history behind it. Imagine coping this hard
Ayden Edwards
Because Americans work harder
t. Swiss
Matthew Reyes
Yeah no it doesn't. Cope.
Dominic Taylor
not fair you took the worst intersction in Paris
Andrew Adams
Yeah you're right one of the world's most populous cities has no culture. Literally nothing happens in New York. It's just a place that grew "inorganically" or something. A bunch of shit just sprouted up in a vacuum for no reason
Carter Thomas
top left: souless top right: soul bottom left: soul bottom right: bit of soul
Brayden Campbell
>A bunch of shit just sprouted up in a vacuum for no reason basically, yes
>one of the world's most populous cities has no culture not really an argument
Asher Collins
European capitals are centuries old though and sprawled out slowly over time
Christian Adams
And so did plenty of American cities. Boston for example is nightmare for drivers but nobody is going to defend that shit because it's fucking stupid to defend inefficiency to such a degree
Joseph Cooper
>the benefit of scale Opinion discarded, you don't know jack shit.
Samuel Hill
americsns work 60-100 hour weeks and low taxes with capitalism. socialism ruins economy because 50% tax rate nobody wants to work as hard
Anthony Cooper
California = Silicon Valley (tech) and Hollywood (film) New York = Wall Street (banking) They are both high tax states because wherever the government sees people making a lot of money they see opportunity to tax the living shit out of them
Nolan Reyes
>richest/most advanced places in the us the states most similar to Europe e.g. California California is so advanced that its common to see impoverished mentally ill people pooping in the streets and tossing their free used needles into bushes. Such wealth, much advanced.
Elijah Johnson
>they were built from scratch As opposed to europoor cities that were built from what exactly?
Austin Peterson
>Muh murica so rich.
Bro America isn't even top 5 ok?
Mason Sanders
Petrodollar.
Henry Edwards
The government oversees and controls all 3 of those sectors though. As a brain dead American you probably don't see that
Liam Cruz
These U.S. states are wealthy in spite of their government, not as a cause of it. Same goes for European countries which are taxed as if they were in a perpetual state of total war to pay for their storied benefits systems-while relying almost wholly on U.S. military for defense (many EU countries struggled to meet half of their NATO commitment even with Russia and China becoming bolder on the world stage every year) and U.S. ingenuity in the medical field (the U.S. alone is responsible for over 60% of novel medications and who knows how many new treatments/therapies) they don't invest in or pay for to prop up their standard of living.
Califormia etc. weren't always a bureaucratic nightmare; wealth attracts bad politics and bad political actors, not the other way around. This is no more evident today as ostensibly intelligent, high-earning liberal retards flee California in droves to red Texas, ultimately strengthening the positions of disingenuous local politicians like Beta O'Dork who desperately want to turn Texas into the same kind of open air toilet California is outside of Hollywood and Silicon Valley (and who will ultimately succeed within a handful of election cycles).
As demographics change and both the commercial and social media become ever more histrionic the U.S. is going to largely be a one party state-if not by the next election than the election after that-interesting times ahead, frens.
Buy guns and ammo we’re heading to Brazil status if we’re unlucky and balkanization if we’re lucky
Ryder Thomas
It's not the US specifically....it's the dollar. The dollar is king. This has a lot to do with the central banking system pretty much owning the developing world by convincing leaders (sometimes with help from the US military complex....see Libya for reference) to accept large development loans for construction and engineering projects that put them deeply in debt. This, and the fact that the Dollar is the global trade currency. There's a lot of reasons actually....but yeah, the US is rich because it's instrumental in controlling the Dollar

I've been to 3/4 of those exact spots (every one except tunis) and the Arc de Triomphe is by far the nicest one. It looks like shit from a map, sure, but actually being in it is better than the other two
John Gonzalez
We beat Canada, Brazil, and Australia. That's it. That's why we're rich.
>WW2 Happens >Rich Europeans don't want to deal with war risks >Don't want to live through reconstruction years >15 years of wealth drain leaving the country for better lands >wait shit there's only ONE good land left >Everyone goes to USA
Lucas Reed
Americans deserve what is coming though. Those that stood idly by are as guilty as those who pushed the collapse forward. Be ready to be a sacrifice for Israel amritards.
Jeremiah Perez
Our teachers make 50k on average, it's that MA is a software hotbed now (check out all of Waltham alone) and the Healthcare business center of the USA.
Easton Reed
but we got legal weed, so we have that going for us
Jordan Phillips
Out East the reason that they are so wealthy is because the country's old money is clustered from New England to the Carolinas. Out West it's because the country's new money has accumulated in pockets in California.
Why are they similar to Europe locally? Because they realize that they want a more European way of life for themselves even though they directly or indirectly benefit from running the rest of the country the way that its run.
Daniel Mitchell
>New York >Right Angles
Not efficient at all.
Alexander Stewart
Americans aren't going to get hit until the rest of the world is hit first and harder. Only thing I could see changing this outcome is if the old guard is phased out into retirement and gets replaced by young idealistic progressives that don't understand the implications of the global economic policies they'd favor.
Jayden Gray
WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG (partly)
Just research the Petrodollar, there is your answer.
Not exactly. The petrodollar is very significant, but it isn't the sole deterministic factor of the US economy. It's a very big deal though.
Grayson Torres
The Soviet Union was very powerful, second only to the USA. People lived good lifes, nothing fancy but no one was truly oppressed. Russia helped lesser developed countries instead of robbing them like the western countries do. Kept the world stable. Then the western countries destroyed the great country which was a tragedy for millions of people.
Jace Watson
don't tell me I'm wrong. petro dollar falls under the mention of global trade economy. petro dollar is only one part of it though
kys urself useful idiot faggit, their being marginally more successful than an anachronistic monarchy-by their own dubious account-is hardly an accomplishment.
>nothing fancy but no one was truly oppressed Imagine being this historically illiterate...The Soviet Union obtained its industrial and geopolitical power through sheer brutalization of its populace. Look up the 5 year plan. And even then it could not sustain itself because planned economies always fail in the end.
Logan Powell
Anywhere else in the world they would die or be rounded up and killed / put in a looney house. So yeah, the USA is actually easier to live in, even if you are retarded.
Henry Sullivan
USD is the world reserve currency (due to the petrodollar) which allows the US government to run large trade deficits. This gives it the edge over other advanced economies.
California is one of the most capitalistic states in the whole country.
It subsidizes trannies, niggers, and illegals, but you can fuck right off in that state if you don't have money
Nicholas Ortiz
Best farmland in the world, with plenty of navigable rivers to carry product to markets and a unified (since the civil war at least) culture to ensure peaceful transactions.
Robert Brown
Even the most cucked places in the US are way more capitalistic than Europe. I live in California and if I was in Europe my tax rate would probably be 20% higher.
This low tax rate also draws in the best and brightest people from the world.
Also there’s a huge wealth premium to being an English speaking country (see Singapore)
Matthew Morales
Because Europe was ravaged by the world wars and we were isolated from all that bullshit allowing us to flourish at the most important time in history.
Dylan Baker
Wrong
Justin Adams
Yeah basically this but US will collapse in the coming decades bc the population is poisoned or brown now
Parker Moore
Yeah. The US hasn't been in a war for hundreds of years. Its troops may have been but not the US itself.
Jacob Turner
Geography.

After ww2 usa helped a lot of broken counties that became allies n helping the world become a better place.
Now it's a corrupt government bought up by companies to drain American citizens of their wealth.
You could look it as Europe basically went to shit when Hitler did his thing n USA was only country that could produce goods n services n thus became rich.
But all in all, America helps a lot of counties n citizens of the world.
