Make something (money, product, company, we)
Sell it
Invest

Dumb brainlet thread

looks good to me, 5x the amount i own
t. 36yo unemployed

It is invested. I’m asking people for what to invest in with this amount of money. Is it enough to make it if I choose the right things?

Thanks fren. Hope we all make it. Can you move to a city and find work?

110k 20yo
mommy and daddy gave me all that for college
didn't go to college, neeting
Am I set for life or fucked for life?

I am basically waiting for economy to collapse and buy shit pennies on dollar

Is this a good strategy?

Buy 100 ETH . You will be set for life

You should invest that money and also learn a trade. I agree don’t go to college with it unless you can get a really useful degree.

Putting eggs in one basket is brainlet-tier. Especially when that basket is speculative currency. Crypto is an important part of a portfolio but it’s the 10% that you put in something high risk. Some of your money has to be in medium and low risk.

how old are you
how much is liquid
how much is in a ROTH IRA or trading account
what do you do for a living

with answers to those questions it will be easier to answer your question effectively. to be fair my net worth is 40K at the age of 30 and I feel like I fucked up pretty bad despite having no debt. I mean shit I've been unemployed for the last 10 months and increased my net worth by 10K during that time.

So based on this I recommend opening a ROTH IRA and contributing to the annual maximum every year and doing some high dividend ETFs mixed with NOBL or QQQ and SPY choosing to reinvest dividends on all of them. Just by doing that with the annual like 5.5 k now i think 6k annual you will be setting up a nice nest egg.

become an autodidact self teach yourself something but don't be a fucking NEET. Volunteer 3 days a week at some bullshit so you can test out the skills you self teach yourself. no
Pirate some investment education materials and day trade with that money once you have an understanding for profit.

>Crypto is an important part of a portfolio but it’s the 10% that you put in something high risk.
Careful with that statement. Diversity is an important part of a portfolio and crypto is a highly volatile high risk high reward potential you should hedge with.

Stop wasting money on luxury norman phones

Stop using a calculator

Im 22 with a 245k net worth

Buy a duplex or something somewhere, rent out the homes. Do some research on real estate first.

16k is in a ROTH
5k is in a conservative band heavy etf
9k is in individual tech stocks
8k is in crypto
The rest is in cash

Ok I’ll look up QQQ NOBL and SPY

Do not just jump into property ownership that's a bad move. Please look over my previous post and take some things into consideration. A property ETF is much better than having to try and manage properties where as the owner repairs and other shit such as making sure they aren't doing drugs and ruining your property through being fucking retards takes place.

Open an IRA with vangaurd. Be wary of the annual limitations and what tax bracket you expect to be in when you are older. If you plan on retiring no income then the IRA is gonna be tax free easy cheese for you. Please make sure to get a vanguard due to the opportunities with ETFs they have available. Vanguard has a bunch of REIT funds I've been waiting to pounce on an REIT is going to be way better than having to actively rent out property to someone you don't know and trust unless you buy like a building and get a company to manage it for you for passive income. Prioritize maxing out the IRA ROTH. You should open a general trading account (I would argue with vanguard for the ETF options again but something like robinhood could save you prices on brokerage fees) for day trading.

Any liquid assets sitting around are doing fuck all for you don't let it just sit in a regular savings account. Look at some credit unions in your area and see which ones offer the best interest in a savings account. If you can get an account with the pentagon federal credit union that would be a clutch move. They provide great return rates on a savings account and also have money certificates which fluctuate throughout the year. Whenever you see a good rate open a 3 or 5 year certificate to make that money work for you. Anything more than 2.4 is worth socking away 15K for a few years. I don't know what your budget situation is but if you can get by with a sub 5K emergency fund then the more you can put into a certificate from your liquid the better.

Those are just ideas of some of the comfier dividend indexs. Do your due diligence and find the ones that appeal most to you.

Other possible high dividend tickets will include VIG, VCORX, VMMXX (all etfs through vanguard), TQQQ, DDM, and DIA. You missed a good sale at the end of the 2018 year but might could still get some decent prices for them.

The more you are willing to lock liquid assets into dividend yielding indexs the more your money will make you money. I cant stress enough getting something in on Vangaurd just to have access to some of their international business index ETFS. The more you diversify the more growth potential you have for your investments. This is a long term game, don't look at a red decrease over 6 months and pull out you, want to let that shit sit for at least a decade.

Assuming this isn't a larp and since you didn't say your age I'm gonna go ahead and assume (like a retard never make assumptions this is a bad example on my part) you're in your 20s or so. Let that shit sit until you are 50 at least. Preferably until you hit retirement age so you can withdraw from them with the least amount of taxes on them and take in from social security as well.

This is a period in which you should also learn to live a humble lifestyle. If you can keep the overhead low in order to prevent lifestyle creep: luxury shit, vacations 3x a year, buying the newest what the fuck ever, going off budget etc.

If you can start a budget and adhere to that shit religiously you will abso fucking lutely make it my dude. The next step is to start walking the thin line of shaving that budget tighter and tighter as much as you can so you focus less on material shit and more on your lifestyle, health, hobbies, fitness, friends, family.

Trust lil dog trust.

Thanks fren! I’m 43 actually. Which means I’m kind of fucked. The only upside is that I’ll be inheriting a decent chunk which will be in some kind of trust that I can help towards my retirement. But I’m trying to grow my nest egg over the next 20+ years to add to the retirement and own a home free and clear. I don’t want to be renting when I’m 60. The problem is that I live in San Francisco and there is no way to buy anymore. But this is where the work is. I have rent control so my rent isn’t too bad but I’m sorta stuck here for family reasons. I’m just trying to work as much as can and invest as much as I can and get that money working. My goal isn’t even making it at this point. Right now I’m just trying to get to 100k net worth so that I’ll at least not end up on the streets in an emergency. I will definitely look into a vanguard etf to start funneling some money into. My ROTH is a ETF at Schwab. My brokerage account for buying individual stocks is through E*TRADE. Then I’ve got cryptos and a bunch of cash sitting around. I have to get all that cash invested. The only issue is that some of it is unreported income
From tips. So I can’t invest it all at once without setting off a red flag with the IRS

Nah famitsu you good. Listen open the ROTH IRA with vangaurd and rollover the Schwab account into that it'll be worth it. You may need to go through a week or so of shenanigans to get it done but it will absolutely do you better with the Vangaurd account. Get some ETFs and some Mutual funds and the stocks recommended and just let it sit and keep adding to it. The eTrade discounts should do you good too. Use the cash to fill the IRA contribution limits in little bits throughout the year so you can write them off as gifts in taxes if anyone ever starts asking questions.

For the rest of the throw around liquid cash because of the tip situation . . . shit change 40% of it to gold just straight up buy gold on ebay or something using the cash to buy giftcards and then 20% silver. Put that shit in a lock box. Sorry about the tip situation but the gold and silver will appreciate much better than as the fiat currency of a USD$. You could also convert some of it into AUS$ since the american dollar will get you big bucks in their money. Sure you can't do much with it here but if you ever go on vacation you'll see how far it stretched.

Alternative store of value for straight up cash so you dont have it floating around is rare coins, guns like just buy some guns and keep them in mint condition along with ammunition, and then stamps. This shit may sound really weird but are all things you could spend a few thousand on and they will still be worth what you paid for them and small enough to fit in a lock box at a bank.

The best thing you could do which probably wouldn't happen and lead to more tax sniffing would be buying a plot of land for cash if it were possible. It may be worth it to ask some people in north cali if they are willing to sell a plot of land for CASH upfront if you have that much liquid outside of a bank.

put 50k in bitcoin and live in your car. wait for bitcoin to 20x and then youve made it

up

Not bad considering 70% of Americans can’t afford a $500 Emergency.

Net worth ain't shit.
How much cash you got ready to blow, that's what you should consider.

Figure that out then put it into botcorn

This. No matter how often you read that you should own 100k by 25 or whatever - most people don't have ANY money left. They live paycheck to paycheck and you're already well above them.

How do you not have anxiety up the wazoo with little relative net worth and no income?

Quality thread

How are you such a pathetic faggot, trying to make anonymous posters feel bad on the internet?

I'm guessing some kind of autism or personality disorder?

Here's mine YYEEEAAAAAA

??? that's a legitimate question though. Unless the poster is living rent free with family and has no expenses he isn't in a really good spot. He has more than most unemployed people have socked away but yeah he might should be nervous if he isn't making finding a full time job his full time job.
