How do ppl fall for this bullshit?

Jeff Bezos pushing everyone to raise minimum wage, hmm wonder why
>be amazon
>be slowly pushing every retailer out of business
>have lots of money
>ok now lets start virtue signaling about minimum wage
>dumb normies start talking about how good it is
>smaller retailers forced to raise wages to keep public happy
>smaller retailers start struggling with increased employment costs
>amazon beats them into submission with cheaper prices
>amazon gets even bigger
how does he keep getting away with this?

we live in a gibs culture friend and Bezos is a closet ancap. look into his history, he was really active in the libertarian community during the 90s. feel like he's just dabbing on the market with shit like this because he knows what will happen

>Muh mom and pop storws
Yeah it's almost like capitalism encourages efficiency or something.

yea capitalism is really healthy when there's less competitors

history has shown us twice what happens when the wealth gap gets too wide.

once in france the other time was in russia. next time will be world wide most likely.

Amazon has being investing on automation and robots for over a decade. Now they raise wages and challenge their competitors to do the same starting a PR war. Competitors about to get fucked twice over.

t. boomer fag heavily invested in Amazon

unironically this.

competition does not benefit the system. it doesn't even really benefit the consumer either. there is a reason why walmart is cheaper than mom and pop shops.

Don't you get it? This is the later stages of capitalism. The competitions have already been done. Capitalism has been going for many many decades, the weaker participants have lost.

The American Public is a lost cause at this point..

We are in a brave new world and people don't give one fuck.

>plebbit spacing
>wealth gap and competition not benefitting the system
calm down commie. this doesn't mean you throw out capitalism

Fuck off commie

not an argument. sorry.

we are at late stage capitalism and late stage government
>corporate oligarchy
>government which can literally tax carbon
it's bad. third position would unironically be a step-up at this point

>not an arguments
you made huge value judgments without providing any evidence or logic

all i stated was facts. if mom and pop shops could have compete with walmart they would still be around today.

>posting Postman
my nigga, i've read Technopoly

>Order from Amazon
>Get reasonably priced item delivered to my door within two days
Meanwhile
>Order from small business
>Gets mailed a week late
>Item is all fucked up and missing key parts
>Contact business about it
>"It was fine when we shipped it so no returns"
Yeah I'm thinking that there is a reason for Amazon's dominance.

sure, people lose in competitions but that doesn't discount the value of competition

rise up and get that bag, we're beyond minimum wage hikes.

Maybe because every fucking business on the planet goes to save money above all else but also somehow produce products that are better, smarter, faster and stronger than anything amazon has to offer.

Good fashion retailers are known for being good quality because they charge enough to actually pay their employees, suppliers and manufacturers what they're actual worth instead of the pathetic salaries you see publicly advertised. Bezos beats the competition because they were dog shit to begin with. What factor of raising the minimum wage he pays his employees has to do with 'getting away' with it? Here's what his real plan was all along.

>Acquire competition or beat them into submission
>Acquires majority of playing field and becomes #1
>Everyone still can competes with amazon, big players or small business (even if just barely)
>Amazon acquires a foot hold in every market while simultaneously becoming the #1 middle man, thus doing away with even UPS, FedEx, etc. (Their last competition)
>Meanwhile, at the offices and head board room of 'EveryoneElse.com'
>'We've got to put our minds together and beat those Amazon phonies with our skills and business models!!'
>'Yeah!', 'Wooh!', 'Alright, lets do this together guys!', 'The free market is the best market!'
>Breaking News Alert!~ Breaking News Alert!~ Breaking News Alert!~
>Amazon literally doubling the money they are paying their employees for doing exact same work!
>'Wow, what an evil corporation. We'll show them, right guys!'

Just because you can't compete OP doesn't mean that there isn't competition. Budgeting for wages isn't fucking hard unless you are a highschool drop out.

If amazon does indeed take over the logistics and retail sector, it will essentially become a Soviet command economy with a CEO at the helm.
This will make it very easy for people to rise up to replace the private company structure with a government body.

All corporations resemble Soviet command economies at some level, especially the large ones. We've had virtual monopolies in the states before and yet the government never seized them. I think we're safe.
