They aren’t developing every inch of land, it’s usually in town at some dilapidated building that’s been abandoned for years, except for power plants or the occasional new farm, both things they’d bitch about. nope. i have interviewed candidates, we need people who can pass math interview questions, regardless of their background. being a minority/femoid definitely helps with certain promotions and educational advantages, but not with being hired into programming grunt work. with TE jobs (i am a programmer but have an EE degree) all i have had to do is difficult math questions in interviews (on 2nd job so far). it is not a meme, i make 92k + 10-15 bonus, for 35-40 hours of little effort. if i put in more work, i could make more but i spend a lot of time on hobbies

I live in a nice very white suburb about 20 miles from a city of 800k people. The fucking goddamn last thing I want is more (((infrastructure))) or more (((condos))) which guaran-fucking-teed will do nothing but attract shitskins and crime. That's why this is what's called a protected view. I guess these guys are protesting some idiotic politician or planner's suggestion to do away with the protected view status which would allow the construction of some monstrosity in the way. For me this is not selfish NIMBYism but an effort by some people to protect something for all future visitors to the park.
