Not offended, but find it odd to judge a man by his height, perhaps because my older brother is a manlet.
It also ruins any sort of narrative the female would have about being a victim of prejudice, as they usually do, so I'd have very little pity for one.

I'm a 5'9 manlet and the height preference thing doesn't bother me at all, the shit that really pisses me off is that fat landwhales think if men don't want them its some societal issue that requires social justice, so there's this epidemic where females standards for men are rising while their standards for themselves are plummeting. I can only imagine how fucked up the average Millenial American woman's life is going to be once they hit 50+.

Do not feel bad for us, amgio. Being shorter simply means a man must command respect through more than just an instinctual draw to his height. That either makes or breaks you, and as a result you'll see plenty of over-compensating manlet douchebags while also many really cool shorter guys as well. 5’ 8” here and find this to be totally true. It’s funny because although I may have subconsciously thought about my height before, but never like people bring it up here. I’ve always lifted and been outgoing though so I never believed it mattered. Would have been nice to have an extra 6 inches while playing sports, but meeting people or getting laid never was a problem. It’s all about confidence really. Some girls will care but in the grand scheme of things it doesn’t matter as even more really don’t give a shit

Actually, I've found tall women don't care as much as short women about height. Probably short women look for a counterpart that will provide the genes they lack. It is very common to see short guys with tall women (man same height as woman, nothing extreme) and tall giants with tiny girlfriends.

Not true at all, maintaining a bigger body consumes much more energy, so there's a constant pressure from nature to reduce height and size in general. At the same time, a bigger body gives you strength to compete with other animals and allows other physical feats of endurance or speed. The balance between all these influences has resulted in different heights for people living in different places.
