>By running a node at home, you help keep the network secure.
People who never read and properly understood the whitepaper are now a majority of the crypto peanut gallery. Honk honk.

I run the only node in my shithole country

Imagine trusting a server farm
Just use a bank or something at the point

For me it's don't trust verify which I can do for less than 1 penny a day
Imagine waiving your ability to verify just to have temporary ease of use from higher throughput

>Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

>the tx fee is how much?
>what the fuck am I running this fucking node for when I'll never be able to afford to use it?

2nd layer software
Putting everything on the 1st layer is impossible especially of you want your network to remain decentralized

Can't get to the second layer if you can't afford tx in the first layer.

Normies and brainlets will never understand it

You're not verifying anything with your piddly amount of hash

>What is stochastic certainty and querying multiple nodes.
The brainlets who have entered this space and latched on to a pre-prepared narrative are pure cancer.
Look how it repeats the propaganda with such fidelity. Truly a magnificent golem.

You're not verifying anything. If the miners wanted to fuck you there's nothing you can do with your shitty node

The 2nd layer is still a bit rigid but in time tools like tx factories splicing and others will be common enough that there will be a new and fair balance of ease of use and non custodial ownership
The costs of sacrificing the network so poorfags can buy cigarettes or something on mainchain is absurd
Shitcoins that make this tradeoff won't last very long

Imagine being peak dunning Kruger without even realizing it

Way before you found crypto there was an event in 2017 where S2X was signaled by 95% of miners and failed

>so poorfags can buy cigarettes or something on mainchain
You realise what fees would be if bitcoin actually got global adoption? You realise the fee market is the only plan bitcoin has when the block subsidy runs out?

Yeah I realize
S2x and the closed door new york agreement that replaced who had access to the repo

Rsk is a turing complete merge mined sidechain

Signalling has no weight on the network. if they all decided to say "Fuck you" and update their software you would be left out in the dust. Your node can't do shit

But if the market doesn't agree with the miners, then they are just going to lose money on their new shitcoin. Pretty much what happened to BCH. The purpose of running a full node in that situation, is to preserve the old chain in the hopes that mining power will capitulate back to the users/market. So many cashies have gone off the deep end about nodes. Classic tribal dynamics. Instead of having moderate disagreement, they go full retard in the opposite direction.

Why on earth would people use a sidechain that charges visa level fees when they could easily use one that charges far less? Good analysis until that point.

Civil war can be avoided by moving to monero. It satisfies all parties besides hodlers and at that point they would want to hold the thing that is appreciating since people actually want to use it.
