The reason this happened is that the meme account actually comes up first if you search for "Sergey Nazarov".

no fucking way

let's see how long does it take for them to realize the mistake... i hope none of you faggots let them know.

Being a part of the link journey these past few years has been weird. I’m not sure if we are meming our way to riches, or if we’re causing a quasar to smash into our solar system

It's probably a mistake replying to this in earnest but you're missing the point if you're focusing on the tech itself. The questioning here over the long wait for the tech answers itself: the tech has never been what this majority of effort in this project is about. It's clearly not incredibly complicated technology. The fact that a few competitors have popped up and claimed to have "solved the oracle problem" is proof of that. But they don't understand either. What Sergey and Chainlink have been doing is attempting to develop the incredibly complicated social landscape that is required to develop an API marketplace and a functional community of diverse node operators. They are doing this through strategic partnerships like buying town crier, hiring Jonny Huxtable, working with Tom Gonser, and possible (probable) countless dealings that we have yet to know about. The tech is easy enough to create, but the problem to solve has always been this question of the social framework that's crucial for the technology to work. The bottom line is: if the tech is released without API data being organized, accessible, and affordable, or without a largely non-technical community of LINK holders educated in how to run nodes and able to easily do so, then who the fuck will care about the project? Its real value--- and so far where all the hype lays--- is in these efforts in developing its supportive social and business frameworks. The existence of Linkpool and CLC is massive proof of this, and their supporting the LINK network is fucking bullish as hell. These other people popping up claiming to have solved the oracle problem are further proof: if the tech is all that's required to succeed, then why the fuck does no one care about their projects?
