Update op? I got liq last night, hope you figured it out. What happened to you happened to me once before. You probably were x25 or x50 short before accidentally clicking cross margin. You need to change the leverage back to what it originally was. Seeing as how this thread is over an hour old, you’ve probably figured it out by now. Post updates op we believe in you.

He opened a leveraged position on the bitcoin mercentile exchange bitmex

Upon opening his position, he accidentally changed the leverage for his position. Therefore his liquidation price was drastically changed.

When you go from x25 or x50 to cross it makes your position liquidation super low, while returning the extra margin back to your acc. So his liq price was low, and if it passed his liq price instead of liquidating, it would take margin from the acc. If the price were to move far enough against his favor his ROE would go into the negative +100’s. Like imagine have -200 percent profit on a trade.

The rules of trading this are always never overleverage and always put stop losses where you're comfortable to lose money but still have enough to have anything left to trade. Never wait for liquidation and never lose it all by being a retard overleveraging 100x. Never underestimate the power of the market. It could go either way so better be prepared if it goes against you. And don't trade the hourly or minute charts. I always trade daily, weekly and monthly timeframes to have a clearer picture of where the market goes. Anything below that is just noise and designed to make you lose your money.
