I do security research for one of the most well known companies in the world. I used to go into the office but my team was being moved to a new state and I did not want to go due to family issue, so they found me a new role and the role came with the ability to work full time remotely.
No, I actually I live close to our company campus but have so all my life since I grew up here. I sometimes think about moving to a cheap as fuck place to live but my life is here. A couple of my team members have moved to other locations to take advantage of cheaper cost of living though due to the fact we can take our jobs anywhere we want to go to. Hell I can take a vacation without taking a vacation. As long as I got a connection I can work laying out next to the pool or from any location.
