So after hitting a two week high on my crypto portfolio I decide to reward myself to the golden arches. I forget to specify that my order is to go, so they hand me a tray with the sandwich on it. I do not want it served to me like this but I do not take the tray back and ask for a bag because taking the tray back and asking for bags is not what winners do. I floor it out of the parking lot leaving the tray on the asphalt I drive home to my house and decide to save my sandwich for later because I have a stomachache from the ordeal mentioned previously. I open the refrigerator and try to figure out how I'm going to do this. I unplug the microwave and put it on the floor to prop the refrigerator door open until I can conduct research and form a plan. I open up Bing and immediately an archived post comes up from a guy using the username "ThreeForFree" who says he ate a McDonald's hamburger from the fridge once and caught a cholera and had to get his leg cut off. I get upset and decide to throw the sandwich away, but it occurs to me that the guy might have just been dumb about keeping the germs off of it. So I unwrapped the burger and put it on a plate. I take two pieces of paper out of the printer, placing one on top of the hamburger and the other one below the plate And loosely wrap the paper around the hamburger and pull out a huge line of scotch tape. I wrap the big piece of tape around the burger and the two pieces of paper in the plate and repeat the process with another piece of tape I keep wrapping tape around it until no part of the printer paper wrapper isn't covered with tape making it 100% scientifically sterile. I place the entire plate with the burger and paper and all wrapped around it inside of a plastic Safeway bag for good measure and close that off with a bag clip. I put it in the fridge, put the microwave back up onto the counter close the fridge and forget about the hamburger. A week later I had to throw it away.

i made $1,250,000 from $0 in 4 months in end of 2017. i exploited spankchain ico bounty program by singing up 7 times. it got listed on bitfinex and 66x'd.

then i lost it all in 2018

i fucking wish it wasnt true. i didnt even cash out some for prostitutes

Not even sure how you could financially cuck yourself more than that my dude.

crypto is dead

From ETH bought for $0.89 in 2015....

how the fuck did you lose it?

for every fscomeau and 1R0NYMAN, there is a guy who buys some shitty FD weeklies and strikes it rich.

I remember there was another guy on WSB who turned $500 into $200k with $MU options and then lost a bunch of it again

Great sub. The only part of plebbit that has a peace treaty with Jow Forums, and specifically with Jow Forums. Welcome brother, and don't steal our dank memes.

FAKE
NEWS

WSB is way better than Jow Forums because they share their losses, and appreciate the ability to lose shitton of money as much as the ability to earn it.
Jow Forums just brags about their wins, but nobody posts about their losses.

I like to brag about my losses. I somehow managed to buy and sell in 2017 and 2018 at the exact wrong times so often that I went in November 2017 with $1000, only had $600 left at the beginning of the bullrun in January 2018, decided I wasn't going to fuck this up again, put in $15k (all of my savings) and watched it go down to $500, which I still have in shitcoins.

Happy now?

>how the fuck did you lose it?
a user claimed to work on wall street and said buy internet node token, sophiatx and hpb. so i did. they lost 90% of their value. i lost another 90% trading shitcoins. i made some of it back from holochain and other, but then i made a bad trade (iotex) and it lost 90% of it's value and i went back to next to nothing. ive made about $50k back from chx and ftm pump and dumps. i'm all in lition right now. all i need is for lition to 20x and i've made most of it back.

This, WSBros are pretty fucking based and we have a truce with them.

> all I need is for it to 20x

Will never happen. I hate people like you. Losing money because of a random claim by an anonymous poster saying he works at Wall Street, which, even if true, wouldn’t even mean anything significant.

Fucking idiot.

can you go into debt buying options? Did they use leverage?

If you sell naked calls you can go into debt.

Can someone explain option to me? I have $250 on robinhood and trying to buy 1 tesla option but it cost $440?

So how do you do this? Is there a way on RobinHood to essentially simulate a casino roulette? I cannot be assed to go to my local casino and internet roulette is outlawed or sketchy as fuck. Already in crypto, but I would like to know how I can turn $100 into $200 with roughly 50:50 odds.

You cant really have exact odds in the stonk market. Too many variables.

I made over $250k from $500

>~9 doublings

boomer gains are hilarious

i sold 70k ADA at 3c before the run to $1.40

B-BUT ROBINHOOD IS A SCAM!

Four Words: Box Spread=Risk Free.

how does this work? Im interested. A link anywhere?

Im done with crypto

whats naked calls?
whats box spread?

Go to /smg/, they have options guide links in the OP.

If this is true, you might owe taxes on the full $1.25M. Assuming you live in America/Germany/any other country where every trade is a taxable event. You started with nothing and had a profit of $1.25M in 2017. 2017 ends, you owe taxes on that money. Your coins tank and aren't worth anything anymore. You still owe the taxes, but don't have any money left, which doesn't matter since you created taxable events that show that you had a profit of over a million dollars.

If this is what happened to you, just forget about it. As soon as you try to cash out anything the IRS will ask where the money came from. And if you don't have the exact records to show how you got from $0 to that you're fucked. And if you do show them the records you're fucked since you owe half a million in taxes.

i only browse biz, wsb(reddit) and misc(bobybuilding forum)

some guy sold his house to buy darkcoin for pennies many years ago.. it's now called dash.. fucking dude must be a billionaire if he didnt sell

You didn't launder it with XMR? Strange...

Naked calls are when you sell calls without owning the underlying asset. Basically you promise some guy to sell him XYZ stock for lets say 10$ a share for one month if he wishes so. 100 shares per call. He pays you premium for this. The stock then goes to 100$ a share. If you have those shares you just sell them to him. If you dont you go out and buy them for a 100$ each, turn around and sell them to him for 10$ each.

Damn.

amazing conclusion to one of the most brainlet stories I've ever read here. congrats on this. seriously.

A+ thank you

This HOLY FUCK

Attached: 1555944825051.gif (360x270, 3.24M)

it literally can't go tits up

When you say "I made $1,250,000" do you mean that you had a bank account with 1.25m in it? Or were you multiplying your shitcoin bag by the highest bid?

I still can’t believe it, pure gebius

Just bought 25 put contracts on ford, for 9.50 strike price. Good or bad? Personally I think it will dip first thing Monday morning

You aren't taxed on capital gains until it actually hits your personal account in FIAT. Otherwise everyone would be broke. Think about it, you think everyone pays capital gains tax every time their house increases in value?

>HPB
Me too bro
me 2

that is much easier to do on bitmex tho, and requires less amount of lluck

>i didnt even cash out some for prostitutes
You could've profit more if you did it dude

>reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/comments/bhs0qg/dis_250_to_165k_inspired_by_nvdia_puts_bro/
not true and homosexual

I made about $200K from about $800 in the span of like a week and a half in Dec-Jan 2018 before plunging back down below my initial investment as the year went on. And my case isn't uncommon at all

I bought 1.200.000 xem on 2015.

Longer term ford is fucked, if expiration is a year away ur good

Spend $3,500 buying DragonChain ICO and rode it to about $150,000 and never sold lol. Still hodling.

>If this is true, you might owe taxes on the full $1.25M. Assuming you live in America/Germany/any other country where every trade is a taxable event.
No, you only owe on the profit when you sell. Holding triggers no taxes.

>amazing conclusion to one of the most brainlet stories I've ever read here. congrats on this. seriously.
i was smart for being the only one to find and exploit the ico bounty program AND t hold it all the way for a 66x.

the thing that fucked me was the crash. all coins went down 90%. i shoulda saw that coming. that was dumb as fuck.

Did you sell?

seek professional help my man, you are an irreponsible gambler. I can't fathom how someone has so little understanding of risk and manages to lose 1.25 million before putting some of the profits into a more stable asset

This is options. You idiot.

>seek professional help my man, you are an irreponsible gambler. I can't fathom how someone has so little understanding of risk and manages to lose 1.25 million before putting some of the profits into a more stable asset
i coudlnt cash out. i had a low withdrawl limmit on coinbase.. 10k per week or something like that. also couldnt tether up because biz told me it was a scam. crashed so fast. ill make it back. ez

user I'll have to save money just to invest in currently holding coins but maybe you guys should try to long term invest before you start to sell and kill yourselves for being a useless human being just a tip.

Attached: dom.jpg (280x193, 14K)

I once made $100k from $400 but stories like this make it seem insignificant

You too browse the holy trinity?

Dude kraken lets you withdraw millions per month and there a ton of OTC services like circle. You should have done your research.

So you're telling me that each Free sign up was worth $7000 at ATH

Sure bud

Jow Forums'd

Cashing out was in any case not easy. Finding a bank that can accept crypto money is already hard as fuck

ive done what that guys done like 3 times over the years.

2013 (40k from £100), 2015 (200k from nothing), 2017(400k from £350). all from tiny dust investments or doing a job for someone.

right now i'm on about £400 in crypto. going to get more back in to it and be more careful.

>So you're telling me that each Free sign up was worth $7000 at ATH
>Sure bud
yeah, and all i had to do was buy 7 twitter accounts for $70 and do 50 tweets on each.

haven't found an opportunity like that again

I didn't do it in crypto, but sports trading, but it seems like it's all the same thing. Greed takes over, human nature I suppose.

so did you actually lose it all? no offence but how did you do this twice and not learn your mistake the 3rd time?

200k isnt that much money when you pay london rents and have a girlfriend and a coke habit.

like i said, now is the time to get back in the market.

>I didn't do it in crypto, but sports trading, but it seems like it's all the same thing. Greed takes over, human nature I suppose.
hehe i did sport betting for 10 years before crypto.. went from nothing to $50k to 0 about once a year

>london rents and have a girlfriend and a coke habit
yeah I guess

>3455141 (You)
yeah stupid me thought 50k was nothing (wasn't enough to buy property in full) so why not risk it again?

human greed is inevitable

how the fuck do you do it?

i made 64k from 2k.

It's free money goys just options trade!

Attached: 1553285443246.gif (498x498, 207K)

shitcoins. first was bitcoin, then, ethereum, and then, potcoin, blackcoin, einsteinium. even foldingcoin, lisk ICO, waves, etheroll ICO (made 30k from £200 on that) then bitcoin again.

i used to make £200 a day margin lending on poloniex. when bitcoin was £2k i was betting 12 btc per roll on satoshidice - if this one comes in we're booking tickets to Bali. at the time i thought it was notmal and that i was just going to keep getting richer and richer. i didnt think i would ever lose it all.

I had 1% of xby circulating supply at one point, sold it at 5mcap, it reached 300mcap with volumes of 2M...

this thread truly makes me hate myself. i had the impulse to buy Disney at the beginning of April and since then fuck my stupid life

subhuman tier.

I just HODL since 2013. Mined doge and litecoin in 2013. bought ETH at 4$. Bought BAT at 9cents. Bought EOS at 30cents. Bought HOT at 64 sats. Its really not that hard to make money with crypto.

What do you hold now?

Checked

I made $90,000 from the DIG scam after putting about $450 into it at $0.002. I didn't sell a single one, waiting for 0.40, watched it go to zero...

I did this with Bounty0x and then Jow Forums made me rich

wait wht do you mean cash out? You can still hit the sell button and let the fiat sit on exchange and cash out every week or just buy back in BTC and move to another exchange? am i too retarded to understand or are you?

? why do you doubt this? ONT was free sign up and it was $10,000 at peak. Sold that shit so fast.

Is there something that explains clearly how to predict options prices? For instance if you buy a call, and after a certain number of days, the stock goes some amount over the strike price, how much should you expect the option to be worth?

can an user pls explain to me how this guy did it with this $DIS (im guessing disney stock)?

im only a crypto fag i do not into boomer markets

He bought $250 worth of call options. A call option is a contract with another party, where the other party guaruntees to sell you a fixed number of shares (100) of the stock at a fixed price before a fixed date. If the stock goes up above above the fixed price high enough to cover what you paid for the option before the contract expires, you can exercise the contract and buy the shares at what is now a discounted price. The seller of the option hopes that doesn't happen so they can pocket your money you paid for the option. The way I think most small investors would want to use options is buy the option at a low price and then sell the optio to someome else at a higher price (which, I suppose would happen if the stock grows more than was expected). Most small investors probably don't have enough money sitting around to exercise the option themselves and buy 100 (times however many optioms they bought) shares of DIS.

okay that explains i guess what he was trading a little better, ive also been on options trading sites like cryptobo.com and shit like that but its illegal for US traders to use - what i dont understand is how he took just $250 and made over 100k with it on robinhood. can u explain a little more of how he did that, genuinely curious, will send 10 LINK if you can redpill me on this. i just installed the app and am waiting on validation.

i was thinking that since he was betting on DIS to go up, that NETFLIX will be in the same situation around the time the new season of Stanger Things releases later this year.

i guess the guy was using leverage on these trades right? so like if he would have lost to his strike price, he would have been in debt like $10-30k+ or something like that?

how does that work btw

Assuming you bought the options with your own money, if the stock price didn't go high enough to make you any money, you would just be out the money you paid for thw options. Say the stock price goes down, you aren't obligated to purchase any stock if you don't want to. The option just gives you the "option" to purchase stock at the agreed price during the duration of the contract.

I'm hoping to make more than $6K on this.

Attached: Screenshot_2019-04-27-17-07-15.png (720x1280, 84K)

that doesnt make any sense tho dude, there has to be more to it than that. how did he make that much money then?

Because say the price hits, but you don't have the $10K to buy the shares then you sell your right to buy the shares and get the difference in value. Really the key is to not hold them to expiration as something like 80% of options expire out of the money, you want to buy them at very cheap and then sell the contract at peaks not unlike day trading, this is how you get absurd return %s, I'm up 330% on F calls since Friday. I bought $10 calls for .10 in Thursday, then sold them Friday mid afternoon for 280%+ in value, and picked up some $11 calls that 2 hours later were up 50%. They are poorfags way to at least build a respectable starting stack.

very based. is using the robinhood app easy to do this kind of trading? i just installed it and it seems super simple. is there a video on how to do this shit you'd recommend me watching? if so or if you can redpill me further on this i will gibs 10 LINK

I don't need your monopoly money, but the idea is that he bought options that were priced very low because peplr at the time didn't think the stock price would rise high enough to make a profit exercising the option. Then the stock price ended up rising much higher than was baked into the price of Disney options at the time the reddit guy bought it. Since after the stock was high enoigh that the option would allow someone to purchase DIS at a significant discount relative to the current price, the reddit guy was able to sell his options at a higher price than he bought them. A call option allows you to make a comparatively high return on investment if your predictions come true because the price of an option
per share is usually lower than actually buying shares, but on the other hand, you can lose the entire amount you paid for the options if things don't go your way. In the Reddit post, he took a very unlikely bet and got lucky. It's just gambling. The only reason you can buy options at a low price is because someone thinks they can pocket your money without having to sell you the stock.
