Im fucked Jow Forums, the stress is killing me and I need your help
Im supposed to deliver a thesis for my comp sci MSc degree in about one month from now and I still havent settled on what it should be about.
The general subject is unironically decentralization, blockchains and smart contracts. I need a use case that I can design an implementation / solution for, preferably either focusing on user privacy or bridging offchain systems (think Chainlink)
>decentralization Unironically check out Craigs articles on decentralization. I know everyone says he is full of shit, but he has some serious knowledge. Start with this:
>I need a use case that I can design an implementation / solution for, preferably either focusing on user privacy or bridging offchain systems (think Chainlink) maybe go check with the 0xbitcoin project, especially stuff like their lava network, 0xbitchain, whatever the new privacy stuff is, etc.

It not bullshit. Ive been pivoting hard over the last year but never landed on anything specific. Started out investigating possibilities of designing a DAO for recycling plastic, but it got too complex and plastic recycling is fucking lame

Just hire some pajeet to make a fork of BSV, then take the BSV white paper and change the 30% of the wording.
user, the key to a good thesis is a very tight, well-defined scope. The smaller and less grandiose the question your thesis is trying to answer, the better the result will be. The goal of a thesis is to select a very small area of a field of study that is not understood very well, and from there select an even smaller question that, if answered, would increase our overall knowledge just a little bit. If you can't scope correctly and ask a very simple question, you will flounder and fail.

OP here, this is really good advice.
I just need to find something very specific, scope it down and finish it as soon as possible

My friend is doing a master on biomethane from farm shit tank and he's getting ton of corporate traction and it appears to be quite profitable. I'll leak you his research for 1 btc.

Why don't you postpone?

How about a thesis: >Adding privacy opcodes to a turing complete blockchain implementation What you'll do there is describe the OP_CODE set ethereum has, how they are used and how it would so damn hard to add a privacy enabling one. Propose a couple of solutions using smart-contract blockchain implementations with privacy features (Quorum, Pantheon)

>blockchains and smart contracts >a use case
Yikes....literally no one in the world has found one in a decade except trading the pump and dumps of course. Good luck fren...
