you do realize that Bitcoin can never be interplanetary right? The delay in communication say between Earth and Mars is 30min one way. How can a node remain synch'd??? Gold however can be found everywhere in the universe.

until then every planet can run it's own sidechain and the mainchain may be a bit slow and sluggish requiring 50 confirmations or more but still gonna be faster than the ships by magnitudes.
