It's a fork of Monero that just rips updates from newer versions of Monero and claims them as its own. The owner is a decently competent coder but all of the long term 'goals' they announced where just a marketing gimmick to get FOMOing Jow Forumsraelis to invest.

Its like the Linux of crypto. It can never be exit scammed because there was no pre-mine or other shenanigans. It will just plug a long until it explodes in popularity. Mine it now while the mining is good.
I’d just like to interject for a moment - what this man is referring to as ‘Linux’, is in fact, GNU slash Linux, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU core libs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS (operating system) as defined by POSIX.
