Dude, it was a fight for the ticker. Craig hates exchanges and wants them gone with one chain, no more 1000s of shitcoins. If you look at the hashrate throughout the Hashwar, BSV remained steady while BCH spiked up and down. Mostly from Roger bankrolling a shit load of cash (possibly around 10MM or more) into renting hashpower. Craig got them to waste resources over it while he built up a fucking army.

It would give him leverage to suppress the price of BTC on a whim though. However, ultimately I believe good money wins over bad money. At this stage of the game people don't even realize what they're doing or what this technology really means. They don't spend or use or form contracts or anything. The 44% was not the Satoshi miner alone. 44% was "unknown" which includes the Satoshi miner AND others. The Satoshi miner had 33% yesterday, and he has the same today. If you count the last 50 blocks he actually have 34% of the total hash

He wouldn't because manipulating the price is illegal. If you followed his twitter you would have known he is an ass about complying with law. He knows that regulation will come and clean out the cryptospace, and that the law grinds slow but finely and surely. He plays the long game. Literally 10 steps ahed of everyone else

Which would make sense because he's getting about every 3rd block. If he doesn't reorg it to death he might just cut into the other miners profits so much they quit.

They don't mine it because they need profit. BTC has no ability to facilitate global commerce. Adoption will not happen on BTC. Once adoption really begins to take off (not just shitcoin trading, actual use in business) BTC is toast, SV will become more profitable and miners will switch.
