in nov 2017 I got a job in a loud fucking box plant (130dbs) on average
in less than a week of that job I had to quit because I got Tinnitus (high pitched ringing) in my ears.
I quit the job but the tinnitus has persisted for over 1.5 years. I have documented proof of hearing loss from tests done,
but bascially now, im disabled from tinnitus, I can't be in a quite room without wanting to kill myself.
my only hope is to get on disabilty and be compensated through WSIB
is anyone familiar with the business of getting disability and winning workers compensation claims?
im seriously suicidal as fuck. My life is ruined basically, and I just want justice.
im meeting with a lawyer soon to submit the WSIB claims
looking for advice /biz
I think its bullshit that an employer can cause someone this much suffering and get away with it. im this close to taking my life away, but I want to know I at least tried to fight for myself and get compensated before I leave this earth
attempt to commit suicide and have someone call the ambulance. get it recorded in your medical file.
keep going to your doctor about the pain and suffering it's causing you.
you'll need all of this as evidence to get bigger compensation.

user, i have also tinnitys in my left ear 15 years now. And i feel you, its horrible. But i promise you its gets easier to live with tinnitys as time pass. It take me long time to learn how to live with it. My tinnitys is very loud and i have been also plans and dream about killing my self. My tinnitys is very loud but yet now like 12-13 years has been easier because im so used to it. i some times for get my tinnitys for short times and most of the times i dont even think abaut it. Its always there but i can live with it and most of the time i can enjoy life. Dont kill your self there is ligth in end of a tunnel. You can learn how to live with tinnitys. Also bull run has started and you gonna make it user. Stay strong!

This might help, it might not. Either way don't tel your doctor if it works as said (not so sure about the fake suicide thing, if you live in the US ambulance fees can get pricey and you might get institutionalized). Place the palms of your hands over your ears with fingers resting gently on the back of your head. Your middle fingers should point toward one another just above the base of your skull. Place your index fingers on top of you middle fingers and snap them (the index fingers) onto the skull making a loud, drumming noise. Repeat 40-50 times. Some people experience immediate relief with this method. Repeat several times a day for as long as necessary to reduce tinnitus. As for workers comp, if it's for more than a few days you'll need an attorney who'll usually get paid some portion of the eventual payout. Keep receipts from doctors visits, you should get your employer's comp to pay for them eventually. File a report, do the c-3, but first of all try to find a good lawyer. I wish you the best tinnitus fren, we're all gonna make it.

Talk to 2 or 3 lawyers.
If what you are saying is true then you ARE entitled to a massive settlement.
And it's not just about you, you need to stick it to these guys so that they take ear protection seriously and this doesn't happen to someone else.
I own a flooring business and my guys are retired to wear gloves and a mask when working. I do it because it's the right thing to do, and not just because I don't want to be sued.

i have these hearing aid things that make white noise and help it. but without the hearing aids i couldnt live life its just too unpleasant.
even with the hearing aids, the overall stress/frustration and accumulative depression/suicidal thoughts start to dwindle ones reasons to live
theres nothing i love more than life, but the suffering endured starts to take its toll
the last 1.5 years have been a nightmare from hell and everyday I wish i could undue it but can't. im just stuck here. money is pretty much meaningless now because it won't make me that happy because it won't make my brain stop ringing. i could not make up a worse torture if I tried than what i currently experience everyday.
I appreciate the comment though I hope I don't end it all before my 22nd birthday, or any of them

I have tinnitus too but it doesn’t seem as bad as yours. My sympathies user. I know it’s hard to accept but ignoring it is really the best way forward (in a personal sense, not sure what you should do legally).
