Should i quit my job and be a NEET?

Me and my brother just inherited our grandfather house(3 bedrooms), about 20k in money and his land which is being rent and earning about 2k a month.

I don't want my parents and the rest of my family to think i'm a disappointment but i
don't want to work anymore.

Your opinion?

if 1k a month is enough for you to survive on do it, whose life is it yours or your parents

if you can live off of that and save a bit, then there's no reason to continue wageslaving

You need to kill your brother

I cant, my brother is pretty much my best friend, we both want to be neet and we love playing vidya together.

Damn you get to be NEET with your best fren?

So jel

Just quit your job in a mature manner so you have a good reference. If your accumulating money from renters you'll be a landlord which you can put on your resume meaning no gap in employment. Try it out and if it dont work go back to work.

Maximize what you've gotten in terms of passive income and tell your parents to eat a bag of dogshit

Absolutely do it.

Just don't be overindulgent with the video games.

Why not just live in his home, bank the 20k, and work 10 hours a week to keep the brain rot away while being able to pay bills? Peak comfiness

You're gonna need to pay taxes on property/ rented land. Might need to get a part time job. Or sell the land and live off that for as long as you can. Then go back to work

This

There is still upkeep and expenses associated with owning/renting property, that $2k isn’t pure income. You’ll still need a part time job and to budget well.

I'm actually thinking about running around the office singing September in my boxer and give a big middle finger to my boss but you are probably right, the rent is a 10 year contract and i'm not sure if they'll continue it.
I can sold the land and apartment right now for 350k though but i think it would be best to keep it.
Also my current saving is only about 15k and my brother is about 8k i think

The 2k i mention is a gross profit per month already minus income and tax but i still think it a bit too little for me and my brother.
I'll have to cut down my expense.

If you don't mind being a total disappointment to your grandfather and wasting away his lifetimes work so you can stare at moving images on a screen then sure go for it

You should be thinking about how you could use all that free time yo make more money or otherwise improve yourself user

This.

There is no way to guarantee your offspring wont become wasters

Both your reason are good and sound but you are making make me feel guilty.
Cant you just make me feel better about being lazy loser.

No, you will feel infinitely better when you're a fit well groomed chad who doesn't need to work rather than a fat dirty vidya addict.

It doesn't affect us user, it's for you

Find something you can enjoy doing 3 days a week. It sounds like you need more income and something to force you to be active.

Rent it all out and live super cheap in a van or just in bumfuck nowhere.

You can use the money to learn a trade to protect yourself against having to work full time should the house / land get hit by a tornado.

I'll give you 10 dollars to fuck your neet butt while you play vidya

lazy losers turn me on :3

I quit my job 6 months ago to become a neet. I have no income, but I have about $40k in savings which should last me another 1.5-2 years. I'm literally hinging all my hope on making in crypto before then, because I'll probably have to kill myself otherwise.

Yeah you are right.
I probably still quit my job but i will get a new one that i like to try.
Always want to try working as a bartender

If that is what you truly wanted, you wouldn't feel bad about it

lmao your grandpa is DEAD just do whatever the fuck you want

what are your expenses?

In case anyone confuse about the property.
my grandfather house is not the one being rent, it just now an empty house after he pass away.
He own a land about 1km from the house which is a 5 unit apartment.

My bro is my best fren as well. I'm glad that good things happen to good people OP. Enjoy yourselves

Roughly $2000/month.

Do it but try to get a hobby that can get you some extra money.

Dude, those apartments in time will be in need for repairs and that does not come cheap. You will need to be smart and invest

I'm still unsure about crypto but hope it took of as well man, i own eth and chainlink

I don't buy bitcoin.
my co-worker buy 2 bitcoin at 18,000 2 days before the price drop.
poor bastard come to work deader than zombie for months

why not move somewhere cheap, and try to break even on expenses? You can pay rent with 1 hour a day of work in vietnam

Because all my friends and family are here and I also hate gooks.
