First taste of pricing
Chainlink pricing
shh
pay fiews for Ethereum as a service
pay CLCG for API access and node listing service
pay AMZN for your node, load balancing, etc
spend time and do actual work to setup node, configure, maintain subscriptions, keep up, patch, lose any staked LINK if you fuck up
Pay linkpool 25% of staking rewards for all of the above, with all staked LINK insured
hmmmmm
your parents feel shame each time they see you
Brainlet here why would I use this service? Is it just to lighten my burden so I don't have to run a full Eth node?
if not bait, both are beneficial in their own ways and the best way is to do both.
The first method is more hands-on and would be a little similar to operating a small drop-shipping business. It has higher risk but higher reward if the operator is insightful and can predict trends, much like an API version of a swing-trader (However, understand that this wouldn't be possible if providers do not provide flexible pricing plans)
In the latter method, LP offers average joes the opportunity to stand beside corporate AAA nodes, something small-time operators can never achieve. This is obviously a low-risk method but you'd wouldn't be able to get ahead of the trend because of the large amount of nodes LP would be managing
personal favourite would be to use LP for half your links, and manage your own node/nodes with the other half
Fck its happening for real isnt it
yes, you'd have to ensure your ETH node is always up + setting up a proper infrastructure
sensible to do if you're a whale but as small time operators just outsource these stuffs to fiew/LP Naas/honeycomb. The money is in the data you provide and your ability to predict API trends (literally no different than swing trading)
no different than swingtrading or dropshipping*
>pay fiews for Ethereum as a service
only $20 or $100 a month, stop being poor. it's not mandatory either
>pay CLCG for API access and node listing service
you're a retard if you buy into that
>pay AMZN for your node, load balancing, etc
you can get free vps from amazon with adequate storage. otherwise it's $10 a month
>spend time and do actual work to setup node, configure, maintain subscriptions, keep up, patch, lose any staked LINK if you fuck up
lazy fuck
>lazy fuck
nah mate, got a job, family, home, friends, better shit to do
jonny can take my 25% cut to do it all for me
or pay clc group and lose it everything
its the same
>your ability to predict API trends
So I will have to micromanage my nodes to ensure they source the best data?
>only $20 or $100 a month, stop being poor. it's not mandatory either
actually OP is a faggot and didn't show there's a $5 option. pic related. still, $20 if you're actually planning on having a decent number of jobs is really good desu. i've been considering doing my own setup and it was going to be 10x that.
checked. also just found out share ancestry with sergey
Don't listen user it's literally just Timo trying to shill CLCG.
Thank fuck I bought the LP ICO
Why pay for this if Linkpool offers a free EaaS?
basically confirms that when any firm says "we're going to be using ethereum for our product" what they really mean is chainlink
although it was already obvious
do you want to compete with a bunch of freeloaders trying to get transactions through when your reputation depends on it? why not use infura then? pro-tip: it's shit. this is why i was going to have my own setup. but i imagine only serious node operators will actually sign up for this so there won't be much competition for transactions.
depends on how seriously you treat the business.
Like I said, it's no different than drop shipping or swing trading. CS:GO tournament coming up? you may want to temporarily subscribe to relevant APIs. You can't do that now with the fixed subscription structure prevalent in most API providers.
An API exchange that allows users to trade tokenized API calls provides liquidity and flexibility.
> Drop shipping is for pajeets
> Swing linkers are retards
Yeah this seems just another add-on that I don't really need. I'll just hold my linkies Timo
Checked and keked
Give it up Üter
