>first performance evaluation at the company >expect good ratings >hardworker >usually go out of my way to do things right >the go to guy for my supervisor whose a brainlet >she tells me most coworkers on our team just "meet expectations" >i get one single "exceeds expectations" >everything else "meets expectations" >the proof says otherwise for many sections >i suspect she did this out of spite or revenge >as usual she deflected blame by saying this was how her manager rated her in the past >worst part is all the department's can review performance evaluations for promotions >literally one of the biggest employers in the county and my work ethic is labeled as average >in the end she had me sign it >i shouldn't have
What would’ve happened if you had declined to sign it?

Change your job asap, or remain a wagecuck.

Kek you're being used. If she puts EE on the boxes that opens up oppurtunity for you. But since you're a good little boy she wants you to stay by putting you down. If you quit however, its still not a lost for her. Better for you to be gone than you joining another Supervisor's group.
Aaron Hughes
Change jobs, from one day to the other, and if anyone asks why blame poor management. Let her choke on it.
Wyatt Peterson
No idea but I should've refused. If it went up to her manager it'd likely have turned out better. She knows my work ethic as a former employee and a current employee have praised me to her often.
I've been looking for a better for over a year.
Any clues on what I can do now? Even during the evaluation I jested (to look friendly) several times that I should get better ratings and maybe I should fill it in. The brainlet literally told me I'd have to do her work for her to be considered exceeding expectations...she used to have me do stuff for her often. Considering calling her out on all the praise she's given me since she ranked me as average.
Start looking for another job. When you'll find it, present that information to your boss with some ultimatum of sorts. This is a much superior way than sulking in a manner you do.
Levi Howard
Basically this, working hard and getting no reward for it is step 1 of getting cucked for life. The company is simply shit to the core and you're best bet is to jump ship.
Look for another job, improve your skills and get ahead. Don't be a little bitch and complain to your manager, just go. Welcome to wagexucking btw.
Ethan Roberts
Similar happened to me three wagecucks ago, I called my manager out on it and he admitted he is only allowed so many >average ratings across his entire team each year, so he only spent one on me. It came from his management, to keep wages down because better reviews mean pay rises. I stayed there for another five years after that
Matthew Gutierrez
>never call off or show up late all year >Attendance: "Meets expectations"
She can't rate you to high! you will get promoted & she can't claim credit for your work!!!!
Stop working for/with cunts! We have 1 female worker in our 70 man company! she has her own office building!

>start job while going to school >2 years later >havent even had a review >no raise >email direct supervisor about this and cc two of the department supervisors >entire department ends up getting the same raise >wtf.jpg >ONLY negative aspect of my review was that I sometimes "neglect to follow the chain of command." >this is because I had tagged the department heads in my email in order to get the fucking review in the first place >leaving asap Only reason I havent just flipped the desk and quit is because I dont want to burn the character references. Kill me.

Same. I worked my ass off at a distribution center and got very little recognition for it. Meanwhile other people got away with half my production rate, didn't clean up messes they saw, and didn't spend their time helping other people. I got promoted to a less physically laborious position but the THOSE DAMN EVALUATIONS pissed me off. They said some good things but also brought up how I need to work on my reliability, just because I call in on day every month and finally got written up for it.
Michael Howard
Fuck her. Women are always cranky if they don't get a good fucking once in a while.
found your problem lad, go work for a real company, not a daycare
Anthony Evans
You should have gone into the review with a ‘report card’ you made yourself within their structure
So you can say ‘I checked the exceeds boxes and here’s the justification’ and it’s on paper listing your achievements - especially what was expected, how you met that, and what you did above and beyond those expectations and the value that added
At the very least this frames the convo around your thoughts not hers, and since you open what is a quasi negotiation, you have the initiative
Jackson Allen

Op here
I definetly don't want to get cucked by her. As it is she tries acting friendly but pulls stunts like this that it is obvious she isn't showing her true nature.
My supervusor said it was because that's how her manager did it when she was rated. I think she was just using that as an excuse so I wouldn't call her out on it.
I got this but I actually used most of my sick days. She seemed to suggest I'd get a "below expectations" if I used them all up, had none left, and took a sick day anyways. I was real close to that happening too. So how the heck do you even get an "exceeds expectations"?
Ive seen her attempt to take credit from someone else before. Wouldn't surprise me. Luckily her manager has received praise from others with more authority than my supervisor.
Nope I've had multiple people I've reported to for my main job duty say I do a great job. Two of which gave praise about me directly to the manager (woman above my supervisor as both of them know she isn't that good at the particular duties I handle) and even attempted getting me a promotion but will likely not happen. Two of the three are now retired.
Now get back to your wage cage or a note will be appended for your next review.
Lincoln Baker
Was considering quitting. She seemed to suggest I could've gotten a "below expectations" had I not had enough sick time that one time I was low on it but took a sick day anyways (likely for an interview).
I got suggested I'd be below expectations had I not had enough sick hours for a sick quite sometime ago.
It's one of the biggest employers in the county. However she is a problem.
She'd probably laugh it off and ignore it.
No surprise there, my males bosses have not been as bad as the females.
There is a union available to us but I doubt they'd do anything
You understand that by raising a stink over it you’re marking yourself as a troublemaker thereby shouting yourself in the foot, right? What you experienced is how the system operates. Sack it up.

Isn't leaving your objective performance up to the subjective whims of your peers wonderful? I love office politics, and in a glorious marxist society this would be mandatory in every company big or small for each .1% more rubles they want to earn than the scrabbling bulk of laborers they're surrounded by
