Not related to a BO, but all GALT has to do to be successful in their phase 3 NASH trial is repeat the same results they showed in their phase 2 trial (in the 2 mg/kg arm, which is half of the 4 mg/kg optimal dose, as shown by cancer and preclinical trials, and stated by the company's current CEO) Last CEO was an incompetent idiot who made a ton of mistakes in designing the phase 2 trial (making it too short for a clinical effect to be fully seen, not including a 4 mg/kg treatment arm, failing to distinguish between compensated and decompensated cirrhosis) It's no coincidence that the former CEO submitted his resignation letter 8 days after Uihlein became chairman of the board
The 8 mg/kg dose doesn't work because of pharmacokinetics (the drug stimulates the enzymes that metabolize it, so as the dose of the drug increases beyond a certain threshold, it becomes less and less effective)
