75 questions

ok OP is a fag

I passed the SIE a couple months ago. Anyone can take it without being being associated with a firm. If anyone wants some tips on taking and passing it let me know

B

Just got a 57/75 on the practice test, should I sign up?

That's a passing score

Yeah but what if they throw in a bunch of hard questions. I'm only 6% over passing.

Did you just randomly take the test? You're real close, just pull the study guide from FINRA & brush up on topics that aren't familiar to you. A simple google search on some topics and you'll be covered. The SIE really doesn't go that deep on any topic. Memorize dates for when customer statements should be sent, and other clerical duties like that. Know the contribution amounts, catch-up amounts and disbursement ages for IRAs, early withdrawal penalties too. Buy the Kaplan learning system if you want to really ensure you pass

What does this qualify you for?

It's a pre requisite for series 7 exam.

What does the series 7 exam get you? You guys get pay bumps or something?

>The Series 7 exam has 125 multiple choice questions, lasts 225 minutes and cost $245.
>FINRA does not provide candidates with any physical certificate as proof of exam completion.
What a fucking rip off.

Something else you and others considering working in the securities industry should know. If you leave the industry for more than 2 years, you lose all of your licensing, aka you'll have to retake the 7 or any other series exam that you had previously passed.

38/75
