it makes sense though, margin traders are the most degenerate gamblers

LMFAO! bears literally on suicide watch.

There's definitely a delicious irony in the fact that the same incessant bear faggots will be the ones to propel us to 8k as they get raped and liquidated

I expect a final green dildo to wipe out the shorters. Then a steady drop down to consistently kill the longs.

>trading on open interest
you will get rekt

i dont get why would a bunch of people having shorts push the price up?

The market is manipulated. If exchanges make more by liquidating shorts, they will. Shorts get liquidated when the price goes up by a solid chunk.

Now is the time capsanon shows himself and repents for his stupid ta.

because they get liquidated, it's called a short squeeze

Lol they will get rekt hard the coming days.
7-7.5k is imminent. Then an alt pump

not they exact answer i was looking for. I just looked it up

i dont think so. Wait till bitfinex and binance open up withdrawls

If you google short squeeze there's a good video on why it happens

when a short gets liquidated it triggers a market buy on the books to close the position

Arthur, start your liquidation engine!!!!

What a great start to the 2019 bull run and this weekend!

Yep, but that will probably still take close to a week. Expect a lot of market manipulation until then

I sure hope so, I went 2.5k into BNB when alts started looking j00cy

Yeah but then the shorts have all the bitcoin. They can then sell it at the higher price. It's a win-win.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA THIS GONN BE GOOD

that's really not how it works

Attached: 6dBt2Oj.jpg (600x315, 21K)

Why? Because the shorts didn't have the money to cover the buys?

I've always thought so.

The only way to get out of a short position is by buying, hence when people get liquidated they automatically open a market buy order, when the price movers up by a decent number it triggers a good amount of liquidations that create a chain reaction of more and more market buys and so more price increase and more liquidations until enough shorts get fucked and the price spike of course stops

based

are you being serious right now? you have no idea how any of this works...do you?

binance is opening up next week

They basically borrowed BTC (bought a negative amount, i.e. shorted), and have to return it when the position is closed, so when they get liquidated the money they spent is just enough to buy that BTC on the market to return it to whoever they borrowed it from.

Afterwards they lost they money and hold nothing.

>coinfarm
its spoofed as fuck

I actually totally forgot that's how shorts worked. Derp. I was just reading a biography about Daniel Drew too.

wtf? are the only people who use bitmex brits and koreans?

they'll be forced to market buy when they get liquidated

British people are the worlds #1 traders.

Deal with it.
