I had about 35 when the price plunged last November. It was heartbreaking watching the fiat value drop so fast. For a minute, I thought I'd let "making it" slip through my fingers but after the shock wore off I figured I might as well stick with it so I just accumulated more. Now here we are.
Believe whatever you want. I started on July 2017 with $2500 worth of bitcoin and never bought any more. Rode the pump up to 10k then watched market tumble. Around January when the post bubble volatility got in full swing, I started buying anything that had a huge enough dip. Things were swinging up and down so hard and fast it was easy to make money on it.
I remember buying a massive RKC dip on Cryptopia back in January and tripling my stack in about 30 seconds as it immediately pumps 300%. Then I got in on the ZCL crash when it forked, then on the exact same day ORME dipped 80% for about 45 minutes as some whale somewhere was dumping 35 BTC worth. I got in on that and made a 5x though I didn't go all in.
That's how it was right after the crash and depending on your trading style there was a ton of coin to be made. Sorry if you didn't get in on it but some of us did. Now, when the market bulls for real again I get to ride it all the way up with a big enough stack to never have to worry again. I wish you luck.
