If Chainlink is so great (fundamentally), why is nobody here talking about starting their own business with it? Surely there must be opportunities for enterprising Jow Forumsraeli's with some tech know-how? And I'm not talking about about running a fucking NEET node.
Spare me the bullshit about "partnerships" and widespread adoption among existing mega corporations. It's pure hopium and you all know it.
What can be done with smart contracts once Chainlink works as it should? Where is the opportunity that's not some theoretical hopium use case, but could actually be built by someone on this forum?
well for started it'll make the whole crypto space relevant...you can create betting smart contracts that will check on sports events and automatically trigger payments and racks in the fees. you could create an online casino... you could create a food delivery service... you could handle shipping with smart contracts connected to docusign api to know when client recieved their parcel.
you could create decentralized exchanges easily.... the possibilities are limitlesss....imagine for a second, before the 30th of may, smart contrcts were only there to transfer tokens...now they can accesss external APIS. THATS FOR THE LEGAL STUFF
now imagine for a second what would pirates do with it? they could create alternative markets, a new pirate bay where pirates would sell stuff online without the need of banks...they could for example create a smart contract that handles the payment when the client pays in BTC or any crypto they wont need to manage it themselves the whole marketplace would work 2autonomously...the blocckchain has just entered a new era...prepare for it BOY
link 1000$ is literally FUD at this point

Where do you think CLCG came from?

Excuse me retard? CLCGroup started on Jow Forums. clcg.io/

>$1000 is fud Indeed. The global derivative market value alone demonstrates why such is fud as fuck >estimated worth of GDM could be as much as 1.2 quadrillion >If LINK facilitated only 1% of GDM then a suicide stack would be worth 12 million USD if total supply of link was in circulation >even if global derivatives market was worth 600 trillion, a suicide stack would still be comfy as fuck with 6 million to work with.
The real question: Is the notion that LINK could only capture 1% of GDM also fud?
I think it is.

What do you think link pool and honeycomb are bitchtits? Reddit sure aren't sending their best and brightest.

I've thought about this as well. You could in theory create your own insurance company and offer farmers smartcontract/trustless insurance through multiple weather APIs. For example if it rains more than 100mm in a month, then they automatically get the insurance pay. How much would it even cost to set this up? Fuck all I think. You would need a solidity developer to write the smartcontract, but there will probably be many template smartcontracts available, so you "could" do it yourself with a bit of coding knowledge. Then marketing aka getting clients. Literally email or go visit some farms and ask if they have insurance and how much it costs. I'm sure the smartcontract solution is better for the client and is still profitable.
Im already working on a smart contact when mainnet comes

>starting their own business with it
we own the roads nigga, not the shipping company.

nice analogy

ChainLink is about never having to work again. Why the fuck would I start a business based around the thing that will enable me to never have to work again?
That’s like going on vacation to your wage cage and working for free and sucking your boss’s asshole. Bobos are truly pathetic faggots.

NICE! We own the Data Wells & the Data Pipelines... Not the Data
That’s because most of what ChainLink applies to is stuff like insurance, and it will become more useful as IoT embeds sensors in everything. You have enough money to start an insurance agency? Me neither.
>just imagine! >j-just seriously imagine! >muh automatic insurance payments if my car's bumper detects a hit!
Turing complete smart contracts aren't happening. None of you know anything about law, or business. Nobody right now is going to put their operations though 'truly' smart contacts because they're a fucking mess.
Any of you teenagers remember the DAO? Nice smart contract that was.

>then a suicide stack would be worth 12 million USD if total supply of link was in circulation
Most of the supply will be locked up in staking, so it's going to be a lot more than 12 million
Nicholas Myers
Hello good sir, I am oblivious to chainlink What is staking? Thank you for your time.
