How do people become billionaires while being literally whos that blatantly break the law? There's so many if you look at their background who run 5 million shell companies that pull liquidation scams that never get investigated by financial conduct authorities and nothing happens even when a bunch of the scams get exposed in local/regional news and they all have abysmal online reviews.
They always have giveaway vague names like DirectZone Finance LLC, Optimal Solutions Ltd, Pathyway Direct, ClearScope Integration, Bland Zenithmax etc. Their main "legit" business activity is something like real estate or oil.
Do loads of billionaires just inherit pedo blackmail tapes of politicians and regulators from their parents being in some secret society? I don't see any OPSEC in what they do, it's in plain sight.
That being said, if you're rich and fly under the radar, there's a ton of laws you can break and not have any repercussions.

People say this but they never explain why.
Why is it when a billionaire threatens the family of a business partner they ripped off with being ultratortured for blowing the whistle on his crimes and he gets secretly recorded the judge just says it was a joke and no crimes were committed despite the evidence laid bare?
I highly doubt they just bribe the judge. I think it's more that they have friends in high places who can get the judge fired.
They have a $300 an hour accountant and a $1000 an hour jew lawyer, and both have worked for their family for 20 years.

in the case of the USA there has been so much deregulation that these fucks can do whatever they want.
Henry Kelly
This. They also give donations for lobbying to keep the politicians off their back

There are tons of these scams run by the ultra-wealthy where people have been undeniably robbed with no sleight of hand or legal loophole needed, Literally offering a service that doesn't exist and going into liquidation and still charging the client. The victims report it to the regulators and they just get ignored. In any other case it would be cut and dry but when you start reading the directors of a company know lords and buy yachts from prince aziz abinabad arabia its quite obvious.

Prove that what they did was criminal using sources admissible in court beyond a shadow of a doubt. Do this while lawyers and private investigators crawl up your ass looking for any little mistake you make that can get the case thrown out on a procedural error. Do this after they've made certain to set up patsies to take responsibility, erase a paper trail, and give themselves legal cover by pretending that all of this happened due to their idiot patsies being incompetent instead of themselves being malicious. Do it while they spend their weekends at the country club playing golf with important people who can pull enough strings to fuck with your investigation if you give them room to do so.
Perfect example is shkrelis business. Too much heat it all went to shit. How many other people jewd by some fund manager and nothing happened but only this one company goes to congress hearing for what? A couple million at most? Rigged, thats why crypto should never be regulated. What good did regulation do at Enron? Lehman? Fucking ey, kpmg will print you As on the bill as long as you pay them.

Poor people crimes are easy to prove - you showed up to the 7-11 with a gun and they got you on camera.
Rich people crimes involve boring paperwork and verbal agreements. There's no clear evidence of anything unless someone lawyers up and spends two years investigating and putting the pieces together.

shkreli went to prison for fucking with Hillary Clinton. it was widely reported that the precedent for cases like his, where he committed fraud, was that if the investors don't end up losing money typically there are no charges

We're talking about white collar crime, not violent crime. Remember, all thugs are morons... violent criminals are prosecuted 80% of the time in court. White collar criminals? 10%
The average prison sentence for a violent crime? 10 years maximum security prison. You get out of prison, no low level jobs will hire you.
The average prison sentence for a white collar crime? 2 years minimum security prison... in the "millionaire's row" where you get your own room for "protection". You get out of prison, get your SEC certified investor license back... you get back to work like you never left.

This is what it ultimately comes down to I think. There is no justice, only power. You can do whatever you want as long as you don't anger or embarrass someone with more power than you.
Jonathan Cooper
Reminder that most of the people involved in the Bernie Madoff scam as well as other 2007/2008 white collar criminals have already been let out of prison.
